On Thursday I was heading out around 9pm. Pete I agreed to meet up in the afternoon for bites and food. It was a lose agreement with no specific time in mind. I had worked on images in the morning and had moved my now undisciplined work to a leisurely pace a Cafe Italia for coffee and New York cheesecake. After a while Pete choreographed our meet up by phone. We met outside of Cafe Italia and conversed on where we could eat as we walked in the general direction of his car. I asked where should we eat and Pete said this place interest me. I responded this place right here. Yeah, he said. I was like why not! So we walked into Ironside Fish and Oyster. It was busy but not too busy. It was Cinco de Mayo and we figure there were other places far busier than this Crudo bar and restaurant. I was totally up for raw oysters and we ordered dozen. Service was slow. We were in no hurry. Our waited was funny and attentive. When the oysters arrived the were presented in a splendid way with three hot sauce options with horse radish and vinegar. We then order our meals. Pete went for the octopus and I decided on a traditional fish and chip meal. I did not know the octopus came with chorizo or I would’ve gone there. Still my fish and chips hit the spot. I shared the images of our food with Liz knowing how much she loves seafood. She lived what we were having. Both of us were tired and we eventually left with Pete taking me to Santa Fe Depot to await my train. It was a fine finish to my stay in San Diego. It was Star filled and I had a chance to connect Pete. I love my work but I truly love my friends and I’m not gonna work above relationships. @best.of.sandiego #sandiego @littleitalysd #littleitaly #crudobar #rawoysters #fishandchips @ironsideoyster #ironsidefishandoyster (at Ironside Fish & Oyster) https://www.instagram.com/p/CdSDLiPrMt5/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
