  TRUTH REVEALED. A TERRIBLE, TERRIFYING ONE. but she needed to know what happened, to face the ghost that haunted her for so many years. believed death, grieved over, cried for and now so real. HOW COULD IT BE, how could she never feel that he was still alive ? pale face painted even whiter, held up phaser slowly lowered, hands shaking. SHOCK written in amelias face when fawn eyes scanned a familiar appearance, a jawline, nose, cheeks that couldn’t be better known, more loved and YET, yet they were as different as they could be. the distance between them wasn’t a huge one, but it felt like miles, like light years that filled up every inch, a cold that filled up the brunettes whole body. THIS WAS NOT POSSIBLE.  awaited an enemy, a gruesome monster  —  found old memories. no. NO. he died. they told her he was GONE FOREVER  ——  BUT. confusion mixing up with fear, eyes reddening. amelia wanted to wrap his arms around bens body, wanted to feel, to be with him again, but. THIS wasn’t ben. this wasn’t the nosy, mischievous little boy the soldier once held so dear. instead she faced a dark knight, a KILLER, someone who tried to hunt down every single one of her kind. NO.       DID SHE ? CHOICE. DID ANYONE HAD A REAL ONE ? sometimes amelia felt limited, even though her family had enough money and goods to provide a good life for their only child. all in all, their ways were decided, the path chosen ( no matter what could be considered UNFAIR or not ). and though. these little conversations, these moments of peace and spoken truth seemed to EASE THE PAIN, to help understanding that there was a greater goal they all dedicated their lives to. ( who, WHO could be so selfish to take what was meant to be theirs, what they felt connected and bound to, when it was the WRONG THING TO DESIRE ? ) a deep breath, soft lips pressed together in silence. should she answer ? should she INDULGE, lose herself, be stupid enough to believe in a fairy tale that would NEVER be allowed to be told ?   ❛   —— you know that i always deemed LOVE to be the greatest gift any creature could receive. its what keeps us warm, the fire that enlightens HOPE, even at the darkest, most lonesome place.  ❜  and the thing that could cause the heaviest damage to a defenseless soul.  ❛  and yet there is no love without UNDERSTANDING. i could never dare to love someone, who refuses to see me the way i am.  ❜   fawn eyes staring into the cracking fire, warmth reaching out for her body. could she EVER DARE to LOVE ?   ❛   what do you see, ben ?  ❜
