A random headcanon: His smoking habits run in the family. He used to be a heavier smoker than he is now- but cut back when it started visibly affecting his health. He has people who rely on him, he cant be jeopardizing them.

hi mutual i miss gabriel soma and want to hear your headcanons about him. who do you think he's friends with at the campfire

I havent Gabrielposted in a hot minute OTL

Gabriel has always felt extremely out of place at the campfire- an internal sense of otherness that makes him struggle to reach out to others. Its through this otherness that he is able to connect with the most unlikely survivors.

Renato is an easy friend to make- he’s bright and full of life, happy to make others feel at home. Even when he wasn’t well situated here he welcomed Gabriel with open arms. His first friend

Vittorio and Gabriel are surprisingly alike despite the 700 something odd age gap. Vittorios knowledge of the arcane is strange and foreign to Gabriel but fascinates him in a similar way that Hux and Dvarka did. A mystery he wants to open up like a machine.

Trevor and Alucard for many the same reason as Vittorio. He is fascinated by the ancient technology that Alucard’s father developed in his castle- its pretty much a wet dream of Gabriel’s to be able to explore Dracula’s castle.

Maybe its because of their absolutely massive gap in time periods that makes it easy for Gabriel to get on with them, theres no struggling with out of pop culture references, no questions about the future or scifi stuff that Gabriel has not the faintest idea how to answer. Stars give him strength when Dwight asked him if his colony and spacecraft was anything like Star Trek. It was a 300 year old show- how was he supposed to know??

Jake is also easy enough to get along with- for a lone wolf atleast. Absolutely nobody would describe Jake as a social guy, and being alone with him was slightly awkward at first until it finally clicked for Gabriel that he didnt have to do anything to enjoy someones company. He and Hux were the same way after all.

On the other end of things, Gabriel would sooner walk into Haddonfield with a “kill me” sign than be left alone in a room with Sable Ward. Her intense fascination with the other and lack of boundaries make for unpleasant company. Unfortunately she also understood him in ways nobody else could. The way Hux fascinated him, drawing him in like a moth to flame was something she understood better than anyone. They both craved the unnatural and inhuman, yearning to dissect and understand the things that would repulse a normal person.

UGH I love your Susie and Wendy drawing so much. I must know what these two are up to when they're together pleeease. Like even just first meeting would be nice to know, I'm invested in this adorable friendship (I just also think Wendy looks so cute)

Wendy kinda stalked the ormond lodge for awhile after getting lost and stuck in that realm. The legion sees signs of something lurking around, Frank writes it off as Ghostface being a prick, Joey and Julie call him a dumbass, but Susie is curious. She recognises rabbit tracks even if theres other weird shit (tail drag marks and disturbed snow from wingtips).

When she finally spots Wendy, shes overcome with a “holyshit bnuuy” response- the entity makes them strong so its easy to forget theres other things here that are dangerous. Wendy responds kinda timid and jarred- not used to “prey” not being scared of her. (Legion look like survivors). Susie doesnt try and touch her when wendy backs off, but it doesnt take long for wendy to warm up to her.

(And yes she did snarl at Frank for insinuating she had rabies. How rude!)
