"Don't turn this on me."

Everyone, or at least most everyone, knew his father was problematic. There was a reason he'd put him in his past a long time ago. His father had no idea how to be one and growing up all he could teach him about was how to take advantage of mundanes around him. A part of him could admit that it came in handy. Just like exaggerating parts about his life so no one would look at just how young he'd been at the time. Magnus knew that those had stayed with him into his current life, but he'd still made a point of keeping his father in the past. Now, though, it seemed as if Asmodeus was either causing problems or looking to drag him back again. Either way it wasn't going to work. "I want nothing to do with Asmodeus and if he sent you here you can turn around and leave however it was you arrived."

       confusion is splayed gracelessly across paling features. he certainly wasn’t expecting this by any mean, blinking sparkling eyes rapidly in succession. there’s a deep blush rising to his cheeks and trailing down his neck. it takes him a long moment to respond, his eyes adjusting in the darkness to stare up at him. he knows that even despite the dark of the room, his flush was probably definitely obvious. it’s also probably obvious that he’s not all that experienced in this particular area ---- not that he’d willingly admit that.

        he clears his throat, trying not to look as confused as he feels and failing miserably. “ uh --- why... ? ” it’s not his brightest moment. he can feel the wheels turning in his head as he tries to figure out what the source of reasoning was.

Warlock woke up to the sound of something moving in his apartment.  Most mornings, he’d’ve probably let it go, passing it off as the neighbor’s cat or something coming in through the window, but he actually closed the window last night.  

He sighed, rubbing his eyes.  Someone broke into his apartment. Probably just a thief.  Just a thief…how many people would say that, ‘just’ a thief? He shook his head.  Dammit.  Focus.  A person is in your living space and probably here to take your stuff.

After finally deciding now would be a good time to get up, he picked up a sneaker from the floor and stumbled out of the bedroom…all the knives were in the kitchen, and he wasn’t about to throw a hairbrush, he only had one.  He had at least five pairs of shoes.  

When he finally spotted the intruder (who he couldn’t make out well because he was still tired and fuck gritty eyes), he just kinda threw the shoe. Hard.

“My, oh, my look who decided to drop on by! Been quite a while since I’ve seen your fellow dashing face around these parts. A twin is always welcome. Now as for my new year how else am I supposed to ring it in? Humans got the right idea of consuming extraordinary amounts of alcohol as the Earth completes one whole rotation once again for the 6000 something plus time. Too bad for them that they can’t get rid of the next day hangovers with a snap of their fingers.”
