really though ----- who is luke to deny a friend in need ? actually, the moment poe mentioned food, he was already in. winning free food ? there’s hardly anything better than that. and while luke does get money from his mother, he hardly knows how to care for himself. they win the free food, maybe he won’t seem like such a sad sap (spoiler alert: it won’t change anything but at least he tries).

so, he agrees wholeheartedly. “ what does the contest entail, exactly ? ” oh, these things rarely go well, but luke’s determined to make sure this is an exception.
