wrist   angled   as   bristled   ends   of   a   brush   lick   canvas   ,     heavy   linework   applied   as   SHE   FINISHES   ANOTHER   PIECE   .          hands   lift   the   color   palette   ,      the   weight   of   pascal’s   sleeping   form   familiar   as   she   drags   the   brush   against   wood   to   clean   leftover   residue   .          eyes   shift   towards   eugene   ,     arms   displaying   her   new   work   .          “   what   do   you   think   ?          i   thought   the   one   tree   looked   a   little   lonesome   ,     so   i   added   more    !   ”
