It wasn’t just some joke to leave a boy stranded in some wayward universe, alone and in the middle of the night. What had happened? If he could remember, he probably feel some sort of sadness about it. But he simply lost it, and in turn, he was becoming pretty much lost himself. Then again, when wasn’t that the case for him? Still, at least at home he had his blankets and his books. Here, all he had were puddles and streets he didn’t recognize. Of course nobody in their right mind would approach a wandering, seemingly old, man with drool running down his chin and eyes that looked glazed over with a mental fog. Even if he looked so painfully out of place, and even more then a little bit scared.

The young Rick was walking from his recent gig back to his temporary home, his hands buried into his pants pocket to search for the key. His heart skipped a beat when he noticed there was nothing in them.
“Shit!” He shifted himself to turn around and start towards the bar. Unfortunately, he forgot about his instruments, which violently swung around him and hit a passerby trying to turn the corner.
“Holy shit! I’m so sorry!” He picked up the now broken handle of the case.
He noticed the person now lying on the ground. “Oh, Are you okay? Do you need an ambulance?”

What am I gonna do to day... What do I want to do... What do I have to do?
Sitting outside in front of a restaurant in Miami sitting on a chair under an umbrella waiting for his food and delivery. He looked through his phone with one hand to see his to-do list, slowly slumping in his chair and keeping his head up with his hand on his cheek and elbow on the table. His eyes scanned the text, seeing he had to get something from this place to give to some aliens. He lets out a heavy sigh, placing the phone aside.
So he had to wait for his target with a gun resting inside his pocket just incase it got hairy. It would be 30 minutes from now when they should arrive. More or less.
Before long he heard the crashing of the waves, breaking his concentration but slowly turning his head a bit to see the beautiful beach, idly staring it had caught his full attention almost putting him into a trance.
Not a single cloud in the sky and the wind was crisp blowing occasionally cooling his skin. It helping him further enjoy this sunny day, especially the great body of water not too far from where he’s sitting.
The ocean was always something that calmed him down, he loved it, there as nothing he loved more than to be near it but... Even if his heart found peace here, the days became heavier to the point the beach wasn’t helping him.
Taking a deep breath and looked back to the phone seeing that only a minute passed.
Mio would just have to wait.
