“Nishinoya-san! I have a request!” She said as she bowed politely to him. “I want you to teach me how to receive better! It’s my weakest skill and if my team is to survive the Spring Tournament, I’ll need to improve on it!” 

She had intercepted him in the hall and it honestly took a lot of guts for her to ask this. She hated being a burden but this wasn’t about her. This was about her team! For once, she couldn’t afford to be stubborn.

✯ All his life he has waited for a confession like this. Though in his mind it was of a beautiful girl who had left a love letter in his locker. The same old dreams any kid would have at his day in age. Yet this was most unexpected. He didn’t care so much for the gender but the fact that it was Asahi of all people… Put his mind at a stop. Did he not like this? No he didn’t mind. His heart beat was getting faster and faster as he tried to process what was happening. Glowing golden eyes stared daggers at the taller male who seemed as if he would faint in seconds.

✯ In the time that they spent together as crazy and controversial as it was this year, Yuu always thought Asahi was scared of him. He thought Asahi didn’t really like him that much despite his sweet exterior. So hearing this actually put those thoughts at ease. A smile appeared on his face. Yuu didn’t know if what he felt towards the older was love or even knew what love is in the first place, but all he knew was that this confession made him very happy. At the same time it made him extremely embarrassed and he didn’t, for the life of him, know what to say.

He was incredibly nervous from the moment the words left his lips, despite having drilled it repeatedly in his mind so he wouldn’t screw it up he had absolutely no clue how the younger boy would react and that terrified him. He wasn’t one for big romantic gestures, or at least he’d always figured he wasn’t, and he was pretty sure his hands were visibly shaking as he waited for the other’s response, hoping he wouldn’t be upset with him for it, that he wouldn’t be weirded out by his feelings somehow-

“Y-yes, I...I hope that’s okay.” He stammered out, brushing a few loose strands of hair behind his ear a bit anxiously, almost concerned that his face would actually light on fire with how warm it was. “I’ve had these feelings for awhile, but I just realized what they meant and...anyway, it’s okay if you don’t return them, I just thought it would be best if I told you at least.”

Soulmates. Everyone has one, that one person they are destined to spend their lives together. That is, only if they’re lucky enough to meet. Life without your soul mate was sad, the world was grey, without color. And sharing emotions and sensations with your soulmate, even before meeting them and getting attached to someone you’ve never even met.

Daichi sighed. He was, to put it lightly, exhausted. In addition to the start of the new school year he was constantly in pain. Partly from his own training, but that couldn’t be it.Was he feeling his soulmate’s pain? It was hard to tell. He hated that, he wanted to know what was happening.

After class, he went to the gym for practice. The new first years has already arrived. There were so many, making Daichi cautiously optimistic for the next two years. He waited quietly while the captain greeted the new members. He looked over the new members, no one really standing out. That was, until someone small popped out of the small crowd.

He did recognize this guy. He was the libero from Chidoriyama, what was his name again? He couldn’t recall. After the third years were done talking, he went over to meet everyone.

“Hi there. My name’s Sawamura Daichi. Nice to meet you.” He held his hand out to shake.
