Well, that had gone terribly wrong. Just as Milo felt like he was falling to his death in a bottomless pit, he made a promise to never fight a time mage again. How was he supposed to know the clash of their spells would make a rift that would swallow them both?
The only difference is, the time mage knew what to do in that situation while he did not. In fact, all he knew was the cold, hard ground he fell against after what seemed like a whole eternity of drifting.
“Fuck! That hurt-” he groaned, fighting his achey body to sit up on the floor, realizing he was in... some sort of workshop. Full of machines he couldn’t really understand. What kind of joke was this?
“Where-- on earth--- Oh, this is just great.”

Though not a mutant himself, Steve looked fondly on them for being so strong and showing such resolve in the face of oppression. Some of his closest allies, after all, were mutants themselves. When he met Caleb, he could tell the young man was in need of support from people like himself.
“Have you ever met with the folks as the Xavier Institute for training?” Steve asks, tucked in a safe space away from listening ears. “They could help you control your abilities. Train them. I’ve got quite a few contacts over there, if you’d let me help you. Being a mutant in this world is risky if you don’t have a support system to back you up.”

Suled had been intrigued when the infamous black knight wanted to join his guild. A sell sword like them, Kaiden had done a number of deeds to raise his reputation. Yet Suled wondered if the man knew the spell placed on him. His resident battle mage had noticed it and told Suled before he left to the college on his own dealings. "You made it out unscathed, but the package was damaged." The quest was for a delivery of multiple items, notably for the glass blower in town. Likely the reason it was attacked by bandits, as they would sell. "We have ways to heal you Kaiden, and if you think it might be best to have assistance, there is no judgement here. We are all shield brothers and sisters. Now come here so I can heal you,” he said, adding a gesture. He raised a hand and let it glow with a soft light. Healing magic, though a lower level, was enough to heal the scraps and bruises.

Scott flashed a grin. “Mom probably won’t be home until we’re asleep. Besides, she knows the drill. There’s always people she’s never seen before in here.” He answered, how realizing how that choice of words could be taken. The alpha pulled Aron’s hand away so that he could have a look at the man’s cheek and touching it gently. “We need to get some ice for that before it looks any worse.” He murmured, his hand catching the other man by the wrist and pulling him towards the kitchen. “It’s not a question any more. You’re staying.”

“Oh please, like you hate cuddling.” Matt rolled his eyes, laying against Sean easily before he looked up at him and smiled. “Very. Thanks Sean.”

oliver wasn’t much for the mingling. he usually went to work, did what he had to do, and found himself home. rarely home, home but away from where he spent most of his week slaving away over the sheer stupidity of the human race. he liked his job, he did. but sometimes the people and cases that came through were interesting in the way that made himself want a stiff drink. a very stiff drink. with a pile of files in his hand he walked over to baelfire’s desk, plopping down on the seat opposite, letting the stack hit the wood as he looked over him. “i used to shag her brother.” he shrugged his shoulder, giving a glance before looking back. “i don’t think processing makes her like me any more than that did.”

Ollie knew a thing or too about stealing from the rich — but he always shared the wealth with the poor, never kept it for himself. He already had all the wealth he could possibly need or want. His crusade was for the less fortunate. This rogue, however, wasn’t so altruistic.
Swinging into the scene with dashing derring-do, Ollie slams the unknown assailant against the wall of the busted bank, the bulk of his bow keeping the man in place. “That was the last bank you’ll ever rob, uh... whatever your name is. We haven’t met, have we...?”
