This isn’t THE IDEA but what if Crylo Ren was a stupid, moronic, overconfidant idiot who decided ,”HEY UNCLE LUKE, I CAN INFILTRATE THOSE EVIL GUYS FOR YOU BY PRETENDING I’M EVIL TOO” and Luke was like, “DO NOT DO THAT YOU IDIOT” and Crylo was just like, “HAHA I’M GONNA DO IT”
So like
he pretended to go to the Dark Side
And Snokey-Poke was just sitting there like, “Wow, is this kid even trying. He is such a terrible actor. WTF.” (imagine Matt from Engineering)
So then Snokey-Poke’s just like. This is way too funny to bother stopping him. So he just let Crylo pretend he was fooling everyone and meanwhile Snokey-Poke is just slowly infecting him with darkness and enjoying watching the rising conflict in him that he does absolutely nothing to hide.
Eventually it gets to the point where Crylo is like 99% darkness, 1% light, but he’s still trying to pretend that he’S TOTALLY OKAY AND EVERYTHING IS FINE and he’s not REAAALLY EVIL.
Which is why he failed his first test /so so so so so so so so so so SO EPICALLY/ (like, seriously, he thought he was fooling anyone with that bullshit?) and throws temper tantrums and uses his stupid voice modulator.
He is literally trying too hard because he’s trying to convince himself that he’s actually good and just pretending to be evil but actually he’s only pretending that he’s good and pretending to pretend to be evil.
Basically, Visser Three has driven my quota for incompetant villains through the roof for the nest millenium so I will come up with any reason to excuse someone’s stupidity as actually being something else entirely.
This is not a serious theory but I’m going to pretend it’s true so that when the sequel eventually comes out I’ll be able to take Crylo-ren somewhat seriously.
