Hello there! First of all, I really love your blog :) Second of all, I was wondering, how did you manage to get the colors of the Natasha and Laura picture so bright? I edited some in photoshop as well, but yours look so good and the quality looks so much better as well! Could you help me out a bit and give me some tips? I'd be so grateful! Love, A desperate creampuff
hi there. i sort of cover the jist of my coloring method in this post.
i make my own sharpening actions but there's a lot of downloadable sharpening actions out there that are pretty good i believe. and just some additions to that post:
selective color and hue/saturation are essential for removing yellow/reds
color balance is good for accentuating blues/dark colors
make use of contrast and curves (change layer type to multiply to create a darkening effect)
vibrance is great for adding more color back in
black and white like 20-40% depending on the situation
you can try downloading some premade psds and making adjustments on those if you're not comfortable w/ coloring from scratch. but the best advice i can give is experimenting a lot on your own bc it's basically trial and error. feel free to ask if there's smth that's confusing.
