//What is the Hydra Trash Party?

[the Hydra Trash Party, in the simplest terms possible, is the usage of James Barnes as the Winter Soldier–referred to as ‘the Asset’ almost exclusively–by the members of Hydra’s upper echelon, including Pierce and the Strike Team. This usage essentially consists of the Hydra folks sexually and emotionally abusing Barnes and placing him in very traumatic situations while he merely ‘takes orders’ and complies. This is usually done under the guise of ‘big strong masculine man slowly developing feelings for the person under their control’ *ahem 50 Shades*

the Hydra Trash Party is rape, pure and simple. Barnes has no control over the situation and frequently is ‘broken’ in order to emotionally traumatize him into further compliance and to make him into a more vulnerable creature who needs to be protected and taken care of. The main reason I hate it is because it is heavily prevalent on Tumblr, a site that tries to portray itself as genuinely feminist in supporting all victims of rape and being staunchly against the act, and yet sexualizes the brutal rape of a defenseless man.]
