Prism Building Gothic
* the building has been there for as long as you remember. it is all glass and all solid white stone. it has been there before the city was built. it was there when the Creator was born.
* the flag atop the building is ragged and torn. it is in heavy need of repair and the colors are faded. you blink. there is no flag. there has never been a flag.
* you complain about having no job. a friend jokes, “go work in the Prism Building.” you remember the last friend who went to work at the Prism Building. all evidence of his existence has vanished. you do not apply for a job at the Prism Building.
- hours later, you get a call. it is the friend who made the joke. she has received a letter in the mail. “you are invited!” it screams, in bright rainbow letters. she is crying. you say your last goodbyes.
* a poster is hanging on one of the massive stone doors. a picture of the Creator smiles up at you. you shudder when you turn around and see the Creator watching you. they need to enter the building. you stand still. they enter the building. the poster is gone.
* Claire Austin is at the building today. the Prism Building has a faint, orange tint to it. for some reason, you remember hearing that Claire Austin was taken prisoner by the war. the building hums with the power it is gaining. Claire Austin is at Prism Building today.
* the Creator is crying today. Prism Building has gone completely white. the windows are dirty. the building fades into the background. it is almost translucent. nobody mentions it.
* your friend amy wants to take her children on a trip to the building. “it will show them what it takes to run this country!” you do not remember what happened when you visited the building. you do not remember what they do in the Prism Building. you do know that the people there do not run the country.
* Prism Building has fallen. the windows are shattered and the stone is dust. this is the worst it has ever been. you can see friends melting away into dust. a few strong townspeople start trying to build up the building again. you find yourself helping them. this is the worst it has ever been. nobody died in the falling of the building. the Creator is missing.
* you are still working through the rubble. you head deeper into the mess. you can hear the Creator’s voice. they are crying. you cannot see them. you continue to rebuild around them. they are mourning the building. they are mourning the people who melted away. you continue to build.
* Prism Building has been rebuilt. the Creator is inside. you watch as the building shines in the sunlight. the building has been there for as long as you remember. it is all glass and all solid white stone. it has been there before the city was built. it was there when the Creator was born.
