Elgar'nan Was The Spirit Of Love
my friend told me this idea and ugh i cannot stop thinking about it.
so, spirit feeds on what feeling is most dominant in the world right? so what that makes Elgar'nan so he's the strongest mage ever? Love.
There's a difference between Lust/Desire and Love. Lust and desire is a wanting feeling, could be sex or could be for anything. but Love is a lot more nuanced and broad. there's familiar love, friendship love, love for animals and objects, for nations and people, for a concept, love for oneself even, etc. its an encompassing feeling and could be either one sided or double sided. which explain why it is so ancient, so primordial and most importantly, so strong that it became the strongest spirit and the first to ever walk the earth.
there’s a reason he’s so desperate to be loved, all of his dialogue is so saturated with the theme of worship and love and how he seethingly loaths the idea that someone doesnt love him.
overbearing love for others becomes controlling and dictative. and great love for oneself became narcissistic and grandeur. that just literally him.
so you can see the pipeline from Love > Tyranny is a slippery Greek tragedy slope
anyway here's an accurate picture of me with the all daddy:
