Haha Wild takes the L

I’m kind of playing with the idea of Cryptid Lost and Cryptid Wild being just. Opposites. In terms of their magic? Like Wild is 100% light magic, he’s just a spirit guy. And Lost is kind of a vessel for dark magic. The two…….. don’t mix.

Wild can’t have potions because they’re made from monster parts which are actually poison to him. Because he is light and good and blessed and monsters are dark and evil and cursed.

And Lost isn’t evil, but that dark energy kind of clings to him. The rift on his neck is like… just a void. It’s not dangerous, it’s not spreading, it’s just. There. But that’s the thing about rifts! Anything that goes in them will eventually be destroyed. Literally their purpose.

(This isn’t canon…… I think. I haven’t decided yet)

Do you want to add Echo and Rift to your AU? If so, what cryptids would you want them to be?

YES.

There are a few reasons that I have not started writing the Cryptid au stories out for real and posting them.

1. I’m not great at writing, it takes me a disproportionate amount of time to write things.

2. Busy moving, and then school

And 3. I WAS WAITING FOR ECHOES OF WISDOM TO COME OUT SO I COULD INCORPORATE IT INTO MY STORIES.

I knew from the moment the first trailer came out that I wanted to have a Cryptid Echo, and in my head, I’ve been calling the Link ‘Lost.’ Rift is good too, but I still like Lost, especially for the Cryptid idea I have for him.

HOWEVER I have not finished Echoes of Wisdom yet. So I won’t be sharing my Cryptid ideas- I can’t solidify anything until I’ve experienced the whole game. And I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who maybe isn’t as far as I am! So I’ll keep quiet for a bit haha.

But I will say- Echo is a Zelda, which means that she has the blood of the Goddess, which gives her God Marks TM and God Powers TM. Whether or not that Power is her echo ability is up for debate.

And at first, I just wanted to add Echo to my Chain but UGH GUYS!!!! GUYS I LOVE THIS NEW LINK!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!! I CAN’T NOT HAVE HIM!!!

So the Cryptid cast of main characters has the potential to jump from eleven (technically fifteen) to THIRTEEN (TECHNICALLY SEVENTEEN)
