Zelda when the Shrine of Resurrection doesn’t even work
Well, since I made Cryptid boys, I guess it's only fair to add their favorite human to the game, right~?
They're not childhood friends, the turtles didn't live in the city. Her college friends invited her to a camping trip, far from the city.
She wandered too far, too deep in the forest, to gather woods for the fire, and accidentally crossed a runestones gate, that transported her completely in another unknown, luguburious, mystic looking place.
She wasn't in some woods anymore. Hell, there's no trees for miles, besides mangroves being choked out by the swampwater, cane reeds tall as they come... Mounds of old, grass covered hills against a steel grey sky, with the roll of thunder in the far distance.
Mist and low fog clings to everything
The sharp crags of ancient mountains stab jagged peaks into the thick clouds above. Their faces stand in judgment. They all say the same thing
You should not be here.

Hello, it's the sorta-shapeshifter again, Vasquez is letting me borrow their cellphone.
Thank you for sending your team over so quickly, we've been talking and they've been very kind and helpful. They asked all sorts of questions, asked for some of my tissue, had me mimic a bunch of different things and even touched me, I had a great time and if I understand correctly it might help you humans here too. They seemed surprised when I explained that I don't have magical abilities (I guess they had a certain preconception in mind of what a shapeshifter is?), but they understand it better now after I showed them my capabilities and limits.
On the topic of my stay here, I'm not sure about the hotel. I am familiar with those, and they tend to be pretty well-lit. While I can pass as a mothman (still haven't met any) because of their black fur and I can mimic the shape and voice of a human pretty well, anyone who gets too close will be able to see that my tissue is not skin and feel that my body is not warm.
If you have any place a bit more hidden where I could stay that humans don't visit I think that would be best. I don't strictly need to eat or sleep if that helps.
I have questions about what a "monsterfucker" is but Vasquez says they need to call their mother so I'm giving them their cellphone back
Thank you for contacting the Department of Monster Affairs.
It is good to hear that you were able to meet up with the agents easily and that you found the interactions tolerable. There are some monsters that do not appreciate our questions and note-taking. If the agents did not explain completely, one of the tasks of DOMA is to categorize monsters based on their abilities and the types of needs that they have. This allows us to navigate interactions in situations like yours and help humans to better understand monsters.
As you might know given your hesitancy to let humans see that your tissue is not skin humans have not always reacted well to things that they do not understand. While many humans today are much more accepting than the past, DOMA studies and research into monsters furthers our understanding reducing fear and negative responses.
As for the hotel, this is temporary accommodation that is common in the human realm. You may stay in your room if you desire, simply place the little card on the door that says do not disturb. The room has a television, this is a form of human entertainment, like an arcane projection of a play that enables you to view many of our stories. However, if this is still uncomfortable please speak with the agents currently with you. Unfortunately, I am not aware of the other current options in the town but they might be able to arrange a secluded area for you to reside in.
Checking your case file it appears as if a DOMA mage will be out there to try and banish you back home in three or four days. Do know though that many humans today are very comfortable with monsters and strange creatures. I would recommend meeting a few to see how they react, I am sure one of the agents will be happy to tag along for your safety, but there is no pressure to do so.
Regarding Mothman. Mothman is what is known as a cryptid. Even after magic returned to the human realm and many other spirits and monsters were confirmed as real, mothman never has been. Humans have very active imaginations and it is seems that we created a legend around mothman from mundane animals. Of course, it is also possible that mothman or a humanoid moth species does exist and this story does have a grain a truth (just like many other human legends) but again that has not been confirmed. The story of mothman originates long after the Division so it is extremely unlikely that whatever people saw back then was a real monster.
Finally, monster fucker, also known as teratosexuality is a description of people who are sexually attracted to monsters. Humans, like most species, reproduce by having two individual exchange genetic information in an act known as sex, typically this is a very pleasurable affair. Another word for sex is fucking. Therefore, monster fucker term for a human who has sex with monsters. I am unsure of the context how this was brought up, but it is not derogatory to you in any way.
Thank you again for contacting the Department of Monster Affairs. I hope you can enjoy your time in the human realm before you return.
It’s just a little guy
Idk wanted to make a cryptid or smth. It’s called the Muse.
Quick summery if anyone wants to read ig;
The Muse comes from the depths of human rubbish (garbage for u Americans) the mold and damp welcomes the Muse into existence. It is formed from the sad and unwanted rot of discarded fruit, bread or other moldy material. It is , in not better words, a super organism of mold. Sadly the Muse is not a happy creature, it’s not angry but just very hurt by the fact no one wants its slightly “gross” origin.
Now what does it do? Well the Muse is often seen gathering scraps from bins and dumpsters in the hope the mold and rubbish in those bins feel wanted by it and don’t become sad. Yes very cute. Because of this they often make lots of noise in suburban bins and can be blamed for the random clanging in your bins at night ( don’t blame the poor raccoons and foxes they did nothing wrong). The muse hopes no rubbish feels the way it does.
Thanks if you read that . Have a good day!
Hey- hey I’m gonna give y’all some *Cryptid lore*
I’ve got Greyromantic swagger, which for me means that the romantic attraction I feel is decently strong when it’s strong, and just “hm, this person is cute, I could kiss them” is the kind of spectrum I have. I’ve only had a few crushes in my life and I’ve never felt intimate attraction period, and the only crushes I’ve had have almost always fizzled out into strong friendships! Aromantic doesn’t exactly feel right, neither does alloromantic, and most quizzes gave me greyromantic :]
I’ve taken a few quizzes, asked myself some questions and I think this feels right ^^
I’m also gender-fluid which was.. a pain to figure out, my gender fluctuates a lot, as of making this post I’m currently feeling somewhere between boy and enby :D
Sorry if I offend people but I’m pretty sure this is what feels right as of now :DDD
Text version in ID/ALT (first time doing that hope its okay/good 😬)
Here’s some lore on how the difference between a werefolk and a shifter works in my story cause they can be pretty similar
the loch ness monster
alr so im uk based and therefore i am a huge fan of nessie, shes up there in one of my favourite cryptids so i figured shed be a good first one of these posts so the style night change for the first couple posts like this until i get into the swing of it but lets fuckin go lads (all used sources will be listed at the end or linked when using a direct quote <3)
Nessie (also known more professionally as The Loch Ness Monster but whom I will solely refer to affectionately as Nessie) is a creature within Scottish folklore who inhabits Loch Ness. There are varying depictions of Nessie, however commonalities remain such as the typical long neck and one or more humps that show up from beneath the water. The existence of Nessie has never been proven (unfortunately) and is primarily anecdotal, with many debated photographs and sonar readings accredited as proof.
