Upside: Chapters go up more quickly and I still draw illustrations for more important scenes.

Downside: Less illustrations and thus less visibility/chance of attracting new readers

Sketches instead: middle ground option, may still take a while to make depending on what else I'm working on/health issues

Charlie will eat random things in order to not starve yes?

Normally he's in a place where thankfully he's got a regular supply of food while living with Tikki and/or Laika, so he's not usually in a situation that dire to where he HAS to eat non-foodstuffs. While he CAN eat a lot of stuff a human probably shouldn't and still be okay, he definitely prefers stuff that's intended to be eaten since it tastes better. I think the only time he'd willingly eat a random object while living with one of those two would be if someone challenged him to do it, or he was just REALLY that curious about how it would taste.

I think the only time he's really had to fend for himself was in the beginning months of cryptids au- in which case yes, he went through trash cans for scraps, or stole food if he was feeling brave or desperate enough to break in somewhere. In a real pinch, during times where he had to lay low in the woods and avoid going near town, he'd eat rocks- definitely not for their flavor, but because they'd take a while for his stomach to melt and would keep hunger at bay for longer than most other things (and let's be real, he sucked at hunting. Him being a softie about killing cute innocent animals aside, the wildlife could see his fog lamp eyes from yards away. Heck, even if they couldn't, his lanky ass crashing through the foliage would be a pretty good tip off that they should probably book it.)

Are you both planning on continuing cryptidsofwakemoor anytime soon? .u. No rush of course, I'm just curious what happens next! Charlie's nightmare in the last part was so intense, I cant wait to see the moment it sinks in for the poor guy that he's finally safe. Tikki has been so kind and understanding to him despite going through a lot herself and just aaaaa my heart ;u; Sorry to be a bother, I've just really been enjoying it so far. I rarely ever leave Ao3 for reading, but Charlie reminds me of a comfort character of mine so I'm glad I gave the story a chance! Now I want to see them heal from their respective traumas together!

Omigosh anon pls you are not a bother, you have no idea how happy it makes me to see someone enjoying our story!! Especially when its ocs, it kind of feels like posting into the void sometimes. TwT; That's part of why I make illustrations for it, in hopes I can catch a few eyes. (The other part is that I wanna make em because these characters are fun to draw XD and there's some future parts of the story in particular that I REALLY wanna draw)

But to answer your question, Mystic and I have a lot more written, and I plan to post more chapters soon, once I can get illustrations made! This month has just been A Lot since i'm trying to work on art fight revenges (i have a handful sketched but still need to ink and color), finish the monthly secret drawing for my patreon, and was out of town for my dad's funeral for part of it. Not to mention I've still been searching and applying for work, oof... I've been a bit scrambled to say the least .w.

So thank you and everyone else who's stuck around for your patience! I will have more art stuff and story stuff to post soon! >w<

Charlie driving a mail truck is now stuck in my mind now.

Well hey at least if it's one of these new ones he won't have to slouch or scrunch down to see out the windshield!

And on the bright side for him, he's in a world populated by non-human people as well so there is a larger range of sizes for things to accommodate these differences- its just unfortunate that like in this world, it is still harder to find stuff that doesn't cater strictly to the average.
