Crypto is a very giving lover, he lives to make you feel as good as he can. He’s also pretty versatile so sometimes all he wants to do is take care of your needs but other times he just wants you to take care of him, but he’s always down for either.

Very soft, sleepy morning sex with Crypto where you were both a little too tired the night before is a common occurrence. Shortly before your legs are hooked around his hips and you’re pulling him down for a kiss.

As much as Crypto would love to just lay with you after sex, he’s probably scooping you in arms once you’ve both caught your breath and setting you down outside the bathroom door so you can get cleaned up. He’d go and get you both some water and re-make the bed for you both for when you come back. After the two of you are cleaned up, you’d probably slip on one of his black nightshirts and crawl into bed beside him. Crypto would open his arms for you and let you snuggle into him or would also be up for you to hold him as well. Either way, he’s happy. As long as you’re comfortable and feel safe and protected, he’s happy. But he definitely loves how you cling to him before you fall asleep, it’s incredibly comforting to him and helps him get to sleep without much issue. Before you go to sleep though, you both talk for a little while until one of you taps out due to tiredness. If he’s sleepy as heck, which he gets after sex quite often, he tends to get a little delirious and unconsciously slip between languages whilst mumbling about how much he loves you to the point where you’ve learned to just smile and press a kiss to his jaw and listen to what he’s saying regardless of if it’s coherent.

Wattson & Crypto Headcannon

     When Crypto became a legend, he spent all of his time by himself for everything. Training, eating, and downtime.

     Crypto knew everyone’s interest in him. Some to scope and try to find his weakness or some just to be friends.

     After the incident on the dropship with mirage, most didn’t want to approach. He didn’t want their friendship, so be it. They will be there when he wants it.

     Wattson, on the other hand, liked the challenge. She likes to be at least be Acquaintance with people as she may be paired with them in the games.

     If she can be on good acquaintance terms with Caustic then she can be good acquaintances with Crypto

     She started off small with making sure to say hello and asking how he was.

     At first, there was nothing, then after to weeks, he would look at her, then eventually acknowledge with nods

     Slow progress is progress, that’s what Wattson would tell herself

     One night after a hard match. Wattson was sitting alone in the legend lounge at 4 am, next thing there was a soft clang as the glass was placed on the table in front of her. She felt the sofa dip as a person sat beside her

     She thought it was either blood or Wraith but was taken back when she saw it was Crypto

     Crypto sat and listened to Wattson. He won't admit it but he has a total soft spot for her.

Crypto x Legend! Reader: Post-Match HC’s (fluff)

Summary: Just some fluffy Crypto x Gender Neutral Reader headcanons in which the Reader is a legend in the games and comes home tired from a match :D

If you’re just back from a match that he wasn’t competing in, your ass is getting carried to the bathroom as soon as he sees you’re okay and gives you a near bone-crushing hug. Knowing you can be revived as many times as you like in the games doesn’t compare with actually seeing you get killed or even just injured. There’s always a tiny, knawing itch deep down within every participant in the games that one day, one of them might not be able to be revived by the Syndicate. Their medical technology was advanced but there was always a chance that it might not be advanced enough one day. So every time you see each other alive and well after a match its a relief.

Crypto would scoop you up in his arms and carefully carry you to the bathroom, setting you down on the edge of the tub. He knows how numbing the games can be and knows you probably won’t be able to do much for a few hours afterwards, similar to how he is post-match. He’d run the water for you until it’s the perfect temperature before gently unlacing your shoes, rolling down your socks and helping you out of the rest of your games gear. If you want to have a shower, he would step in with you and get to work on washing your hair first whilst you’d likely cling to him for stability, too exhausted to properly stand up on your own. If you’d prefer a bath then he would help you settle down in the tub, his finger swirling through the water every so often to make sure it’s still warm enough for you. His touch would be so gentle as he washed the dirt and blood away from your skin, fretting over each tiny scratch or bruise and whispering to you about how you’re okay, that you’re done for another few days at least, that he’s got you. 

When you’re finished, he would wrap you up in the biggest, fluffiest towel you have and lead to your bedroom where he’d already have the softest pair of pyjamas you own or one of his shirts for you to change into whilst he cleans up the bathroom and sets your games gear away properly. 

You would order take-out for the two of you and just sit for the rest of the day watching whatever was on the tv or reading a book together. This is really the only time Crypto is definitely not going to be hacking away at his computer. He knows you need him right now and there won’t be any new information to decipher since he wasn’t participating in the games that day anyways. He’s happy with whatever you want to do. Whether you fall asleep ten minutes into watching a film or you want to stay up all night and talk about what happened during your match, Crypto would be there for you with open ears and open arms.

You awoke to the low buzz of metal on metal. Cracking open an eye, you saw that Wraith was phoning you. Her name lit up the screen of your phone as the vibration shook it so violently that it was nearing the edge of the table.

Despite having a sleeping Crypto at your back and being basically bare you answered her video call in your sleepy haze.

“Hey Wraith, everything okay?” You grumbled, rubbing sleep from your eyes and attempting to smooth your misplaced hair.

Her face appeared on the screen, only half in-frame. You heard the slam of the fridge door as she turned to properly face her phone. “Yeah, I’m looking for- Wait, were you sleeping? It’s-” She looked at the clock on the wall in the Legend’s communal kitchen, “- Three in the afternoon. Is everything okay?” A yawn escaped you, you could’ve slept in far later had she not awoken you. Crypto’s arms tightened around you, his cheek now resting firmly against your shoulder blade.

“Yeah, I just had a long night. What’s up?” Crypto let out a low moan behind you and pulled your body closer to his, you just about managed to keep him out of the frame but winced when his mop of black hair peeked over your shoulder in view of the phone’s camera.

With one dark eyebrow arched to the sky she asked: “Was that a moan?”

“...No?” You offered, knowing Wraith always saw straight through your shit no matter what it was. She knew every outcome of every possible timeline, there wasn’t really any wiggle room for slipping things past her. “That was definitely a moan but I’ll let it slide. I’m looking for Mirage. He’s not in his room, his door stats say he hasn’t been there since before the game yesterday.” She rolled her eyes at the thought of the man, “Have you seen him?”

You thought for a second. You were pretty sure you would have remembered seeing him and his bright yellow jumpsuit given how he has a habit of making himself known, “I haven’t, no. But I’m sure he’s alright. Probably went to visit his Mom. You know he likes to let her know he’s okay. I’ll phone her later if it would make you feel better?” It was a pretty regular occurrence for Wraith to worry about Mirage, he often got on her nerves a little but no matter how hard she tried to deny it, he was her friend and she cared about him though try as she might not to.

She scoffed, “Oh, I’m not worried about him. He just ate the last slice of bacon I was saving for lunch and I want my revenge.”

Crypto shifted behind you again, keeping you pressed against him like a life-sized teddy bear. “That’s as valid a motive for murder as any. I’ll let him know of his impending doom if I see him before you do.”

“Okay, I’ll talk to you later.” She smirked, “Don’t enjoy yourself too much.” After bidding her goodbye, you placed your phone back on the table before immediately burying yourself beneath the covers again, turning to face Taejoon. His eyes barely open but bright. 

“Good morning.” You heard him say, his voice groggy and deeper than usual. You had always loved his morning voice.

“Morning, sleepyhead.” You felt him move a little before placing a kiss on your forehead then your cheeks and your nose. “Sleep okay?” You asked, running your hand lazily through his hair.

“Hmm. I always do when I’m with you.” He smiled down at you then, a genuine and sleepy smile. You shook your head at his corniness but appreciated his sweetness all the same, “Mhmm, just for the extra warmth I bet.”

He chuckled deep within his throat and turned to lay on his back. You adjusted yourself so your head rested firmly on his chest and your hands could easily trace over his stomach and play with the pendants on his necklace. He smoothed over your hair and ran the pad of his finger over your jaw.

“I think Wraith is catching on.” You dragged your finger over a scar on his shoulder, “She phoned looking for Mirage and knows I wasn’t alone.” You really didn’t want to have to say it but no one knew about you and Crypto, for safety reasons more than anything.

It wasn’t unreasonable to expect him to be nervous about that, to say how you should both be a little more careful maybe but he didn’t register any kind of nervous energy and for that you were relieved. The last thing you wanted to do was make it more difficult for him to do what he came here to do. “Oh, that’s who it was” He wasn’t quite able to make out the voice’s owner in his sleep-heavy state, “How does she know?”

You laughed. “You moan in your sleep.” 

“Is that so?” You nodded as you swung one leg over both of his and sat down on his thighs. “I seem to do a lot of moaning when you’re around, huh?” His hands found your hips as you flattened your body against his, your arms wrung around his neck. “And whose fault would that be I wonder?” You leaned up to press a kiss to his cheek. “I don’t think you really need me to answer that question.” You blushed at his words and he saw, chuckling lightly at your embarrassment as he traced his finger over your back.

“Well, I’ll take credit where credit is due I guess.”

Crypto x Reader - Duos

Summary: Crypto x Gender Neutral Reader in which Crypto and the Reader are on the same team in Duos!

“Let’s get inside the ring. We’ll be safer that way.” Crypto’s voice sounded softly from your comms link as you sifted through some of the loot bins at the edge of Skyhook. He was looting at the other side of the town, drone poised in your direction should anyone try to get the drop on you.

“Sure. You good for everything?” You asked, creeping back towards the buildings and away from being out in the open. Duos was always a lot more personal than trios, especially if you were friendly with the other person on your team. Crypto was your counterpart for today’s match and you saw the relief on his face when your banner image appeared next to his on the announcement screen. He wasn’t comfortable with many of the other legends.

He hummed. “I would be very grateful for some energy ammo.” You nodded, knowing how he favoured the havoc rifle as his primary weapon. ”Is there anything you need?” He asked. You stuffed a nearby pile of the luminous green ammunition into your pack and sprinted down the stairs and out the door in the direction of the ring, “You got it. Maybe some syringes!” You said, wincing at your complete lack of them.

“확인. Race you there?” Although you couldn’t see him, you could hear the smile in his voice. He was closer to the ring than you were so you shouldn’t have had to worry about him but not a minute later as you were sprinting through a valley to meet him, already in the ring, you heard his cry.

“I’m hit!” You heard him fall to the ground with a thud and his pained breath. You pushed your legs to run as fast as they would go with two guns and pack full of supplies on your back. “On my way!”

He cursed under his breath after letting out another groan, “There’s two of them. Don’t worry about me, get yourself to the next ring!” You could barely find the breath to speak from running uphill, “Crypto I-”

“Please.” He winced and his voice cracked, no-doubt from his injuries. As much as you hated the feeling of being resuscitated by the game makers, and the possibility of that was very high given your odds, you had to help him. He would do the same for you and had done so before.

You neared his location and waited in a nearby building for his aggressors to leave. You counted one gone, which meant there was only one left inside. You pushed on and climbed up the side of the building and into the second floor through a window. Crypto was bleeding out. He must have been hiding because they still hadn’t finished him off for some reason. When you reached the floor he was on, crouching down and making yourself as quiet as you could, you saw him, slumped against the wall beneath a window, blood trickled down the side of his face and the fabric around his stomach was stained crimson. Revenant stood over him.

You wasted no time in emptying your clip into Revenant’s back and watched as he fell to the floor. Crypto sighed with relief when he saw you, a rare smile gracing his face. He looked like he tried to laugh but it caught in his throat and caused him to cough instead.

“He was waiting for you to come and save me.” he tilted his head in Revenant’s direction.

“I’m that predictable, huh?” you asked the downed robot, his synthetic eyelids narrowing in your direction though he didn’t say anything. “Let’s get you fixed up.” You grabbed some syringes from Crypto’s pack and tugged him into the corner of the room so he was out of view of the window. You sat down behind him and let the back of his head rest against your shoulder as you took his arm to heal him. Footsteps sounded from below as you emptied the first of what should have been five syringes into Crypto’s system.

“Pathfinder’s coming back!” You rested your gun over Crypto’s shoulder and pointed it at the stairs should anyone try to come up to this floor. “Let him,” you replied. You knew that the people watching the games right now would be on the edge of their seats. A one on one between you and Path? Oh, the suspense!

Crypto released his drone and sent it flying downstairs. It picked up Pathfinder’s position. “On my mark.” He told you, looking through his drone as he sat slumped against you, your arm around his middle was the only thing keeping him upright. “Three. Two. One. Now!” You emptied your clip again and knocked down Pathfinder, only a few of his bullets grazing your arm. Pulling out the key to a frag grenade with your teeth, you threw it at him and finished him off before he could use his gold shield to rez himself. They were all down. You had done it.

“You know, I quite like having you around.” Crypto tilted his chin up to look at you as you lowered your R-301 off his shoulder and released a breath. He looked at you near-awe struck. He’d never had someone go to such lengths for him in the game before and just how efficiently you pulled it off saw a pink tint dusted over his cheeks. You smiled and grabbed another syringe “Happy to be around.” The syringe clicked into his arm and the healing serum. The blood on his head began to crust over and when you brought your hand to his stomach, blood no longer leaked. Two more syringes and he was back on his feet.

“I hope you will allow me to repay the favour.,” he said, stretching his hand for you to take. “I’m sure you’ll think of something” you took it and he helped you up. You stood so close to him now that his open jacket grazed your chest. He hummed again, a slight smile on his face as his eyes switched between you and the floor.

He opened his mouth and closed it again only to open it a second later and force the words out “There’s this Thai place down the street from the compound…” You felt your cheeks go red and you handed him the energy ammo he requested earlier. You knew what he was implying from how nervous he looked and you weren’t about to make him elaborate, “Sounds like a great idea! We’ll head over after we win, yeah?” he chuckled and accepted the green ammunition from you. “We had better go, the ring’s about to move.”

Crypto x Reader - Tough Time Sleeping

It was nearing four in the morning when you heard a soft knock on your door. You probably should’ve been warier given the time but your tired yet sleepless brain didn’t let you care enough. It would take a lot of manpower to breach the legend’s quarters anyways, the Syndicate kept you all very well protected. Kept “safe” and snug within the compound during the games season. The only thing that could hurt you in here was the Syndicate itself. When you opened the door, you found not some Syndicate assassin but Crypto. He stood there within the darkened corridor with hunched shoulders, wet eyes looking up through the dark hair that fell across his face. 

“Hey.” He said softly, giving you a half-smile. His cheeks heated like he felt stupid for coming to you.

“Hey,” you replied, “Nightmare?” He nodded and you moved your arm from across the doorway to let him inside, checking behind him quickly to make sure no was watching from the shadows. “Was it Mila?” You asked, knowing how his sister’s murder often plagued him at night. You knew from the look on his face when you mentioned her that that was precisely what it was. “Come here,” you offered him your open arms and he accepted. He had a small height advantage over you but that didn’t stop him from bending so he could hide his face in the nook between your neck and shoulder. One of your hands found the back of his neck, your fingers gently carding through his hair, whilst the other splayed across his back. 

You held him there for a few minutes until his breathing evened. When you felt tears wetting your nightshirt, you pulled back from him to wipe them away from his face with your sleeve, smoothing his dark hair back so it wouldn’t stick to his cheek. “Do you wanna lay down?” You asked as his eyes continued to leak. He nodded and let you lead him to your bed where you helped him lay down atop the covers, his arms around your waist guiding you to lay down beside him. His head rested on your pillow, facing you as you attempted to soothe him. He rarely got himself into this much of a state and it took months for you to convince him that he didn’t need to go through it alone. But one day after you had spent the day with him in his room fiddling with your equipment whilst he worked away on his computer, you had fallen asleep sitting on his bed half-slumped there. He let you stay there, not wanting to disturb your rest. No doubt you needed it after the games. He slept in his desk chair and had awoken with a blanket wrapped around him. He knew then that you truly meant him no harm nor him, you. You were good enough to one another for you to trust each other and trust wasn’t something he ever thought he would be able to do or feel again. Since that day you spent a vast majority of your time together in one room or another. That’s when you realised his affliction for nightmares and him your difficulty of finding sleep in general. It wasn’t much longer before he shared his past with you and it was as though he could finally breathe fresh air again.

His tears soon ceased so you focused on running your fingers over his hair, knowing how soothing it was to him. His arms never left you, holding you like he was afraid you too would slip away from him if he let you go for an instant. Your soft whispers of sweet nothings were music to his ears and soon enough he felt his eyes growing heavy despite his attempts to softly gaze at you. He never wanted to forget your kind face, attempting to sear it into his brain for moments when you weren’t with him.

“Do you want to try and get back to sleep?” You asked and he nodded, thumb stroking over your cheek but you didn’t miss that he was sleepily staring at your lips. “It’s not so hard with you here.” He told you and he blushed almost immediately after but smiled when you did the same. He rarely felt himself smile any more but it came easy when he was around you. Your fingers found the silver and copper pendants on his necklace, turning each one around before letting it rest back against his chest.

“Goodnight, Taejoon.” You said whispered softly, shuffling closer to him. “I’ll stay up until you fall asleep… and I’ll still be here when you wake up.” You felt the soft press of his lips to your forehead followed by a quiet mumble in Korean as his arms brought you closer to him, tucking you into the warmth of his chest.

True to your word, you stayed awake as long as he did. And when his breath evened out, you let the warmth that radiated off of him finally coax you to sleep as well. His presence was so comforting, so calming to be around even when he was upset. You felt like this was where you were supposed to be right now, at least that’s what the feeling in your stomach was screaming at you.
