I'll have the notes that didn't fit any individual post below cut here. For not having this thing get really out of hand reasons, I did leave out minor characters with minimal description (sorry Ginnisson).
I referenced the official art only when there wasn't a textual answer because the Hildebrandt and World of Shannara art often contradicts the character descriptions.
COMPARISON SPEED ROUND
Elves and Valemen are usually short. Dwarves and Gnomes are usually really short. Elves and Gnomes typically have a lean build, where Valemen and Dwarves are usually stocky.
Flick's gnome disguise relied on him being taken for an unusually large gnome.
Eventine is big for an elf, which makes him about the size of an average man. Flick is smaller than Eventine, such that it's his size that first makes it obvious that he is not Eventine at a distance (according to JLS and Breen).
Elves typically have thin and straight eyebrows that run at a sharp angle up from the bridge of the nose instead of across the brow. like >:)
According to Menion, Shea and Shirl are about the same weight.
Menion, Panamon, and Shirl are described as, respectively, handsome and beautiful. This is frustrating to me for lacking specificity but worth noting that they are conventionally attractive in-universe. As far as POVs go, Shirl=beautiful comes from both Menion and Palance, while only Shea describes Panamon and Menion as handsome. Balinor, for his part, has features that are "pleasant to the eye" and this is also from Shea's POV.
The Creature of Wolfsktaag (wolf-shtog) from The Sword of Shannara. Spent practically my whole life trying to create this creature from it's description from the book; always struggling. Tried to make an attempt when I was 15 and I couldn't finish it because it was difficult to envision. So through time and multiple iterations, I think that I can finally put this one to rest.
