The Weeknd is incorporating NFTs into its next world tour, After Hours Till Dawn. The pop star is working with Binance for this . The crypto exchange announced this today , on June 2, 2022.
The 32-year-old R'n'B singer is one of the most successful pop stars in the world. He topped the Spotify charts in March 2022 with over 86 million monthly listeners and has sold over 75 million albums. Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber have now pushed him from first to third place.
Binance is partnering with HXOUSE to release an exclusive NFT collection for the tour. There will also be branded merchandise and special NFT tickets. They promise "unique" virtual experiences for fans.
A portion of the proceeds goes to a humanitarian fund. More information will be announced during the tour.
The ranks of pop stars experimenting with Web 3.0 continue to grow. Madonna co-released an NFT Collection with Beeple . Justin Bieber, Snoop Dogg and many others are also making their advances.
