Renee shifted, the sun light that peaked through the blinds bothered her tired eyes. She rolled herself over, hiding her face against a pillow. She laid there for a few moments before she sat herself up, realizing she was alone. She hugged Tae's pillow to her chest,  rubbing her eyes as she looked around the room. Her eyes fell upon her hacker toying around with the access panel for the sliding door.  A soft yawn escaped the skirmishers lips as she fell back onto the bed again. She looked up to the roof,  closing her eyes again.  

Moments later the door slid open, then closed again. Tae looked up from the doors control panel, nodding in aprovement at his work. Hack whirred and hovered around Crypto's head. It seemed excited that Tae was happy with his work. Tae stood back up, , letting the camera scan and register him before it slid open.  He leaned back down to close up the panel, and sealed it. He cleaned up his tools then put them away before he looked over to Renee.  

He motioned for Hack to go over and scan her, which the drone did happily before returning to Tae's side. He grabbed the drone, reaching to plug it into one of the ports on the panel. After a few moments, Hack beeped then flew from Crypto's hand. Tae rolled his eyes before turning his focus back to Renee.  

He watched her for a couple moments, his mind wandering to all those nights she had spent in his room, or his nights in hers. Renee had always spent the couple days prior to the games in his room, making sure he was taking care of himself. Making sure he was fit and ready for the games.  

His nights with her were often after the games, with him making sure she was tending to her own wounds. She always seemed to push herself during the games, win or lose, she always pushed herself past her breaking point. Tae shook his head, not wanting to focus on those long night he spent worried over his lovers fate.  

A soft smile formed on his lips and he crawled back into bed with her, his thoughts returning to the fact she was alive and well, and with him. He crawled onto her, resting his head on her chest, he listened to her heart beating. He closed his eyes as he hid his face against her chest. Her arms slowly wrapped around him, hugging his head to his head to her chest. She gently pet his head, her fingers slowly running through his hair as she held him.  

"Did you sleep?"  

A soft chuckle came from Tae as he shook his head and looked up to her. He nodded as he rolled off of her, he reached to take her hand. He lightly rubbed his thumb over her knuckles, his eyes falling to the scar on her arm. He shook his head, turning his attention back to her hand.  

"You’ve been asleep over twenty-four hours, 내 사랑." He gently kissed the back of her hand. "You aren't sore are you?" He kept his lips to the back of her hand as he looked to her.  

She paused her thoughts, pondering what he had told her. She gently took his hand, pulling it close as she softly cuddles herself up to him.  

"I'm fine, a little groggy though." She softly kissed his palm, she looked up to him. She studied his expression, his eyes, his lips. A light blush crossed Renee's cheeks when she realized she was studying him so closely.  

A soft chuckle escaped Tae's lips as he watched her. He pulled her closer to him, gently he pressed his lips to hers. Their eyes slowly closed as their lips met. They kissed softly and tenderly, Renee's arms slowly moved to wrap around his neck. Tae pulled her closer, wrapping his arms around her waist, when a knock at the door interrupted them.  

Tae growled slightly as Renee broke the kiss, her attention turning to the door. He buried his face to her neck and held onto her tighter. Renee lightly kissed his cheek before she started to get up. He tightened his arms around her for a moment, keeping his face against her neck. A soft chuckle escaped Renee's lips as she pet his head gently, she kissed his cheek.  

"Can't we just ignore them?"

"No, we can't." She gently unwrapped herself from his arms before she got up to answer the door. Tae rolled over, a slight frown on his lips as he watched her.  

Lifeline was standing there, her arms crossed as she looked over Renee. She had forgotten to let Ajay know she was back.  

"A-Ajay, I'm sorry."

"Anita said ya trainin was supposed to be yestaday, when ya didn’t show up, it worried us. Yuh neva missed trainin before."  

"I know, I wasn’t planning on.."

Ajay walked past Renee, her finger jabbing the air towards Tae. "And yuh! Yuh need to let us know when shes back, we worry about er too."

Tae squinted as he looked at her, sitting up slowly. He looked down, knowing Renee would get upset if he said anything rude back, But Ajay was right. He let her sleep all that time and despite running into the other legends around the barracks, he had not mentioned Renee being back.  

Ajay, seeing the conflicted look on Crypto's face, let a sigh escape her lips. She sat on the edge of the bed, looking between the two. She motioned for Renee to sit with her. Renee complied, sitting on the bed next to her and Tae.

"Look, wit all dats happened recently.. " Ajay started to speak, searching for the proper words to say. "We all worried sick about yuh two, well most of us are." She looked to her lap, her hands folding. "Yuh two disappea off on yuh own so often.."  

Renee moved to hug Ajay, knowing Tae would be uncomfortable if Ajay had hugged him. Ajay returned the light embrace, holding onto Renee gently.

"I'm sorry Ajay.. We'll be more cautious from now on." Renee spoke softly. "I promise."  

Ajay held the embrace a few moments longer before she let go. A soft smile on her lips now, she nodded as she looked to Crypto, who nodded in agreement. Ajay let a light chuckle escape her before she stood up.  

"I'll hold yuh too it." Ajay looked to them, sighing slightly before nodding. "Yuh should get ready for trainin lata today, Anita's upset wit bot of ya's." And with that, she walked out of the room.  

Wraith and Crypto stayed quiet for a few more moments before Renee turned to crawl back over to him. Tae watched her, gently reaching to pick her up and place her on his lap. He leaned close to her, pressing his lips against her temple.  

"I should remember that you are not only important to me." He spoke softly, now resting his chin on his head. He felt her arms slowly wrap around his chest and she hugged him firmly. He smiled slightly, he always seemed to be smiling with her close by. At times, even during the games, he's found himself smiling with thoughts of her on his mind. He closed his eyes, simply relaxing and taking her in.

Some random CryptoxWraith headcanons

- Both of them have trouble sleeping at night - Wraith because of the voices, Crypto because he spends his nights hacking. They regularly happen to encounter each other in the corridors as the only people awake at night in the facility. One morning, some of the other Legends find them both asleep in the common room, out of pure exhaustion after yet another sleepless night. (Wattson thinks it's très mignon, while Lifeline just smirks and gets some blankets for both of them.)

- Both of them are rather the quiet type, but they understand each other with few or even no words whenever they're in the same squad. Their mostly silent, yet smooth teamwork often leaves their third squad mate with a whole lot of metaphorical question marks around their head, but still, they are usually victorious. (Hence to her Voices of the Void and his drone, some even secretly call them the "all-knowing team".)

- Between such bubbly characters like Lifeline, Wattson, Octane or Mirage, it had always made Crypto feel more comfortable knowing that he's not the only one with some darker secrets. Wraith keeping just as quiet as him whenever the others would share joyful stories had always made him feel less like an outsider.

Tae watched from the sidelines as Renee rested her hands on her knees, panting as she stood there in the sunlight. The sweat dripping off her nose, the exhaustion was obvious with both of them. Anita was standing in front of them her arms crossed, she barely seemed phased, but she was sweating just as much as either of them.

"That'll show you to ask for help training then not show up." Anita clicked her teeth then walked over to Renee to pat her back. "Be there next time."

Renee nodded in response, reaching to shake Bangalore's hand before she walked off. Tae was silent the entire training session, he was also fairly exhausted. He wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, his eyes turning up from the ground as the skirmisher walked over to him. A light smile naturally formed on his lips, the smile mirrored on her lips as she saw his.  

She gently took his hand, pulling him gently to look over the scrapes on his cheek. She seemed more concerned over him than herself, which was not a surprise. He watched her for a few moments, watching as she looked over his face and the scratches that trailed down his arm and chest. A soft smirk crossed his lips, 'It was a good idea to take my shirt of earlier..' He thought as her fingers.  

He gently turned his hand to take hers, pulling her close to him. He gently kissed the palm of her hand, watching her lightly blush at his sudden affection. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as he leaned to kiss her temple.  

"You have to care for yourself as well, 내 사랑 " Tae gently let go of her hand, his arms wrapping around her waist lightly. Her arms naturally wrapping around his neck as he pulled her close. "That cut on your palm, it looked quite bad earlier.."

"I'm okay love. You're the one who was pushed off the rocks earlier." She looked over his face, making sure he wasn't inured to bad.  "My hand is fine, I promise."

Tae rolled his eyes in response, a nervous chuckle escaped him. He leaned his forehead against hers, looking into her eyes. She blushed slightly deeper, looking back to him.  

"You’re hand . " He spoke softly, reaching to take her hand and look over it. His eyes tracing along the fresh pink cut that crossed along her palm. The dried blood staining the sleeve of her shirt. His worried expression made her chest tighten just a little. He was genuinely worried for her as she was for him.  

A soft smile formed on her lips as she watched him. Her clouded eyes studied the man before her, his expression, the fresh scrapes on his cheek, she took in his details.  

He noticed her watching him and couldn’t help but smile. He liked how observant she was, how details meant a lot to her. How she watched him as much as he did her.

"We should go shower, it's getting dark and we've been sweating all day." Renee chuckled softly, gently leaning to place a kiss on his lips before she pulled away from him.  

Tae clicked his teeth, a little frustrated she had pulled away before he could kiss her back. He tossed his jacket onto his shoulder, following behind her back up to the drop ship from the training range.  

He watched her as she walked, his mind wandering as they walked silently. He seemed lost in thought for a moment as they walked into the platform elevator. He stayed towards the back of the elevator, watching his tired fighter rubbed her eyes.  

He reached out to her as she started to walk off the elevator, grabbing her wrist and pulling her back to his chest. He gently put his finger under  her chin, pulling her chin up to press his lips to hers. His eyes closed as he pressed his lips against hers.  

She was taken off guard by his sudden action, her cheeks flushed deeply. She slowly closed her eyes, kissing him back gently. Her hand gently grabbing onto his, their fingers interlocking.  She slowly relaxed into the kiss, leaning herself back against his chest.

The two stood together for a few moments, seeming to get lost in deeper in the kiss as time went on.  

They were interrupted by someone clearing their throat not too far away from them. Renee jumped slightly, Tae wrapped his arms around her, turning to where he was between Renee and whomever interrupted their moment. He was a little upset someone had ruined their moment.  

"Sorry to bother you, old man, but  I need the elevator." Elliot stood there with his arms crossed, who looked rather annoyed at the situation before him.

Tae rolled his eyes, moving aside with Renee still blocked from Elliot's sight. Renee took a step away, still holding her partners hand. Elliot watched her for a moment, shaking his head as his eyes caught Tae's.

The two men stayed looking at each other for a few moments, a smirk crossing Tae's lips before he moved to look back down to Renee. His arms tightening around her as the elevator doors opened. Elliot stood there for a moment, looking as if he was going to say something, but shook his head and walked onto the elevator. He pressed the button for to the dormitories and the doors slid shut.

Renee stayed silent for a few moments, before turning to start walking towards the locker rooms. Tae followed, her hand still in his. Tae's eyes fell to the floor, staring there as they walked in silence.  

They both walked into the locker room and over to their lockers. Their lockers were across from each other, a bench dividing the isle. They sat next to each other, facing their respective lockers. Renee looked down to her lap, resting her hands there. She leaned onto Tae's shoulder, closing her eyes as she rests against him.  

A smile couldn’t help but cross his lips, his hand reaching up to gently pet her head. He leaned his cheek against her head. They sat there for what seemed like hours, but was really just a few minutes, leaning on one another. Renee's unharmed  hand finding its way to gently rub circles on his back, his still gently petting her head.   Tae hummed softly, his hand gently reaching to untie her hair for her. He slowly ran his fingers through her hair, resulting in a soft sigh to escape her. Her cheek nuzzled to his shoulder as she relaxed, his hand still gently petting her and helping her relax.

"Let's shower,내 사랑." Tae spoke softly, moving to gently press his lips to Renee's temple. His kiss was gentle against her skin. Slowly he stood up, his hands reaching to take hers and help her stand. He observed her, watching her slow movements.  

'She must be sore.. And tired..'  

He shook his head, shifting himself to stand next to her. He let her lean against him as she stood there. His arms gently wrapped around her, his hands slowly starting to help her undress in her exhausted stated.

Her hands lightly tugging at his coat, her hands slowly slid up his chest and pushed his coat off his shoulders. His thumbs hooked under the hem of her shirt, slowly lifting to slide her shirt up and off of her. A light blush crossed her cheeks, her clouded eyes looking up to him. His fingers traced along her side, slowly as he reached up to cup her cheek.  

"오랜만이야."

Tae looked over his shirtless lover, her half-lidded eyes looking back to him. Slowly Tae leaned down to press his lips to hers, their eyes closing as they kissed. Renee's hands gently starting to pull at his shirt, sliding it up. She pulled away from the kiss only to slide his shirt over his head and toss it aside.  

A soft chuckle escaped Tae's lips as he rested is hands on her hips now.  His thumbs gently hooking into her belt loops as he holds her. He gently pulled her closer, his hips pressing gently to hers.

Renee gently leaned closer to him, her hands resting on his biceps as she softly kissed his neck. A light blush flushed onto his cheeks, one of his hands gently sliding from her hip to her lower back.  

"Let's shower."  

Renee whispered against Tae's neck, her lips grazing his skin as she slowly pulls away from him. Her hands moving to his on her hips, she kicked her boots off, then slowly started to slide her pants off and kick them aside. Tae bit his lip, watching her as his hands gently held her hips.  

She let a small chuckle escape her lips as she took his hands from her hips before she turned to grab her soaps from her locker.  

Tae clicked his tongue, watching her for a moment then finished undressing himself, gathering his things then followed his lover to the showers.  

"너는 나를 너무 많이 놀린다... "
