Another commission, this time around a Stebel sketch dump for @616mcu who wanted various Stebel doodles across the various UF AUs. So we got our standard UF Stebel, some comedic tension in Reverse/Diamond, some cuteness in Rises/Momswap, adorable Swap vibes, and some cute Crystal Falls stuff. Gotta say while Stebel isn't my top MK ship (Stedip owns my whole ass heart), these two are pretty precious imo

Veeeeeery loose Crystal Falls AU

Dipper is Blue Diamond’s pearl, while Mabel is one of the many, many Ruby soldiers. Despite this, the two feel an unexplainable connection to one another; Dipper admires her individuality, despite being a common gem, and Mabel aspires to be as poised and competent as Blue Diamond’s prized pearl. (They really only see each other from a distance throughout the first couple of millenniums)

One day, Mabel’s group is assigned to a Peridot and stationed on earth, where she becomes enamored with 16th century pirates. She quickly falls in love with the lifestyle, and in a burst of bravery, convinces Dipper to abandon his duties and travel the seas with her. He does, and by nature of a Pearl, swears his life to her on top of everything else.

Maybe one Ruby could slip away, but Pearls, a symbol of status and authority, don’t just disappear. The connection is quickly drawn amongst the diamonds that Mabel for whatever reason kidnapped Dipper as a sign of rebellion, enraging them. For this reason, they create an entirely new bread of gem (Bill) designed to track down and shatter Mabel, and then return Dipper to his diamond.

Que Bill quickly discovering that Dipper is there on his own accord, and on top of that, duels swords as a Ruby’s guard, which entertains him so much, he keeps the discovery to himself, if only to continue their little charades until Dipper finally mellows out enough to realize they’re sort of perfect for each other >//<

(Also I love the idea of Wendy being a fusion of Mabel and Dipper, so there’s my headcanon for the day)

Camping In The Rockies postcard mailer. Often used for advertising purposes, this one specifically for Jersey Coffee. It included the following poem:

Crystal Falls, MI. The city was known to have a high veteran population. After both world wars a lot of vets settled in and around the area. It was the last town to still celebrate V-J day until the early 2000’s. The town now holds a Humungous Fungus Fest as an annual event to replace the V-J day celebrations. In April 1992, the city received international attention due to the discovery of a giant fungus in the nearby forest. The discovery was announced in articles in Nature and The New York Times. The fungus, known as the "humongous fungus", covered an area of more than 30 acres and had a total mass estimated at 100 tons. At the time it was believed to be one of the oldest living organism on earth, as well as one of the largest. [Wikipedia]
