Undertale/Crystal Tale headcanon that Papyrus had a very hard time learning how to fuse, so Sans asked Grillby once to fuse with him to show Papyrus what fusing is like. 

Papyrus was impressed to the bone with the giant fireskull they formed together and spent endless nights perfecting his fusion dance, but still couldn’t do it  for a long time. The first time Comic Papyrus arrived, he was overfilled with joy and pride from both the skelebros.
