'Typical Palace', 'It's pathetic' - Lots of Crystal Palace fans voice a major frustration

Crystal Palace struggled in front of goal in their most recent match against Sheffield United, an aspect of their play that has been an all too familiar theme this season. It is the ninth time they have drawn a blank in the Premier League this campaign, leaving the Eagles bottom of the table when it comes to goals scored, with 22. Jordan Ayew sits as their top scorer on six goals while Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke have disappointed with three and zero league goals respectively. To make matters worse, Roy Hodgson let go of a striker in the summer who is now really beginning to find his feet and prove that such a decision was an error of judgement from the manager – Alexander Sorloth. The Norway international has spent the year on loan at Turkish outfit Trabzonspor, and on Saturday he scored against Fenerbahce to take his season goal tally to 19. There, he has 16 goals from 19 league games in what has been a brilliant opportunity for the 24-year-old to showcase his qualities, and that has sparked discussion amongst Palace supporters. Some have blamed Hodgson’s poor tactics for not getting the best out of Sorloth during his spell at Selhurst Park, while others suggest it is typical of the club not to get the best out of strikers. "I give up on this man" - Loads of Crystal Palace fans fume with Roy Hodgson's "awful decision"

Crystal Palace fans struggled to compose themselves during their 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Sunday afternoon, understandably being left angered at their team’s lack of ability. It was one decision, in particular, from manager Roy Hodgson that almost sent some supporters over the edge. In the 64th minute, he decided to bring Max Meyer off, a player who had been playing out of position on the flank. On in his place came Jeffrey Schlupp. The consolation was that it would at least get a wide player attacking down the channels but it didn’t please Palace supporters one bit. A fan couldn’t help but think of relegation with their reaction whilst another told the club to liquidate. Hodgson’s substitute was deemed an awful decision by a further individual as one supporter was concerned by the lack of common sense. Crystal Palace fans on Twitter want Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson to be part of any potential exchange deal that could see Wilfried Zaha move to the Emirates. According to the BBC, the north London outfit want the Ivory Coast international and he wants to make the move to the Emirates to link up with Unai Emery, but money is a big issue. The Gunners’ summer transfer budget is reported to be set at £45m, while the Eagles want up to £80m for their prized asset, although the BBC report they are reluctant to sell this summer having already seen Aaron Wan-Bissaka depart for Manchester United. "Bottled it", "Caved in and we lost" - Steve Parish has left lots of Crystal Palace fans unhappy

BBC Sport journalist David Ornstein revealed on Wednesday that a deal had been agreed between Crystal Palace and Manchester United for the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, but Eagles fans were left far from happy with chairman and owner Steve Parish at the details involved. However, Ornstein confirmed on Wednesday that the initial deal is worth £45m – which could rise to £50m with add-ons – while the Red Devils will retain their clause for the Ivory Coast international. While it has to be seen as a decent agreement for Palace seeing as the player has only made 42 first-team appearances for them, many obviously feel that Parish should have stuck to his guns in negotiations.
