yr aesthetic: cool grey, dry flowers in between book pages, early 1900s surgical instruments
Mmmmmmmmm yes to this. (Antique scissors may or may not be a part of the project I’m discussing with a certain tattoo artist.)
1, 7, 15 for the film ask game. x
1. What’s the most depressing movie you’ve ever watched?Mmm… probably Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s first works.
7. A film you wish had a sequel?
Seven Psychopaths maybe?
15. A film everyone loves but you hate?
The Hateful Eight… or The Breakfast Club.

russian disco tho ! ! !
People who can’t sing [this] have no Slav cred as far as I’m concerned.
11, 16, 21 x
11. something you’d give ANYTHING to hear performed live
Ever since I saw [this] I’ve been praying for Robert to haul his ass to Poland. Frankly, at this point he may haul it anywhere he wants to in Europe as long as I’d be guaranteed to hear this.
16. something to SCREAM ALONG to
[Fukken always] ಥ⌣ಥ
21. a song that you could SLAY at karaoke
Various seminal pieces of Russian disco tradition.
Welp, I’m not a karaoke person for some pretty great reasons. But my drunk rendition of Depeche Mode’s [Condemnation] got people shell-shocked after the very first word I belted out (”CONDEMNAAAAASHUUN!!!!!11″), so. I guess it slayed in a sense.
hey! do you have a video source or something for the whole "method acting is pretentious" mads thing? i think it's hilarious! keep up the great giffing work. x
The gif is from the Hannibal season 2 gag reel! As for the part about method acting, he’s mentioned it in multiple interviews and articles and such, for example here and in these (usually actually with the word ‘pretentious’):
When asked if he ever felt it was necessary to really “immerse” himself in Hannibal’s character, he sounds amused. “Method acting? I have the luxury of saying I have no idea what it is, and I don’t care. If there is such a thing as ‘method acting’ that will bring you somewhere interesting, go for it. If not, I’m sure there are other things that will bring you to equally interesting places… I believe in trying to let the moment catch you in some situations, but also in being the one who has control of the moment, and knowing what you want from it, so it becomes more than just screaming and shouting.” [x]
Do you ever use method acting for a role?
- No. It’s hard to leave a scene sometimes like the church scene in this film where I got very upset, had a big confrontation for 11 hours so of course it’s difficult to leave the emotions but I would never go home and pretend my name is Lucas and my kids should call me Lucas. I think that is a pretentious disease. [x]
The discussion about method acting or not is always going to be there and I’ve always found it quite pretentious in the sense that my job is to get inside the character really fast and leave him as fast as I can. If I was to bring home every character I’ve played, my family would be very confused. And I don’t necessarily think that it will add anything. For me, to understand the character and present him and when I go home, I’m trying to be myself. [x]
top 3 german movies please?
i dont think i reblogged that thing and dont know many german movies but ok :D
Das Parfum - Die Geschichte eines Mörders (2006) (this is german..who knew?) Tom Tykwer
(Perfum - The story of a murderer) tells the story of Jean-Baptiste Grenouille , an olfactory genius, and his homicidal quest for the perfect scent.
Free Rainer - Dein Fernseher lügt (2007)
(Free Rainer your TV is lying) A manager of a TV-station sending mostly low quality contend is proselytised and with his team manipulates the ratings in favour of better television
Der Wixxer (2004) a parody on old Edgar Wallace movies and dispite the crude title (wichser means wanker here a word play on Der Hexer 1925 “The Gaunt Stranger”) more pun and slap-stic based humour and one of the funniest films i’ve ever seen
