Hi! I'm wondering if you guys know by any chance how pre-registration works Thursday? Any guesses at what time it'll be? I'm definitely taking Friday off work, but depending which time pre-registration is, i may be able to make it Thursday evening after work? You guys think it's worth it at all or it's the same to just do it Friday morning?

The Registration hours are probably going to look like this (based on the Supernatural conventions)

THURSDAY NIGHT8:30 pm to 9:15 pm Gold Weekend Patrons9:15 pm to 9:45 pm Silver Weekend Patrons9:45 pm to 10:30 pm Copper Weekend Patrons plus Gold and Silver in Jason’s meet & greet10:30 pm to 11:00 pm General Weekend plus Gold, Silver & Copper who missed earlier time.

FRIDAY MORNING9:15 am to 9:45 am Gold Weekend Patrons9:45 am to 10:00 am Silver Weekend Patrons10:00 am to 10:30 am Copper Weekend Patrons10:30 am to 6:30 pm Registration open for All

The benefits to pre-registering are:

You get your stuff right away. Wrist bands, lanyards, etc.

Some autographs or photo ops require you to trade in your PDF for a “hard” ticket so registering earlier might get you a lower number towards the beginning.

You can purchase additional photographs/autographs/meet & greets without the added charge that you pay when buying online.

You have the opportunity to “re-up” for next year at a discounted price and try for a better seat.

If you aren’t worried about any of the above things then pre-registration isn’t necessary. 

Last year in Chicago I heard from people that pre-registration took hours. I had a weekend GA pass and I just drove over right before they were closing and it took less than 2 minutes. So if you want to just stop by on Thursday night then wait till the end and it will save you a ton of time.

Hey so I'm planning on going to the Vancouver Con only for Saturday. I'm arriving on Friday at the Hotel where the Con is at, which I will be staying at. Would I be able to register for my tickets when I get there on Friday or would I have to wait until Saturday?

If you only have tickets for Saturday then you will have to register Saturday morning. You can always swing by and ask but they’ll probably just tell you to come back in the morning.

But you will have plenty of time to register in the morning since they’ll have the studio tour (in Vancouver) and Gold panel in the morning.

hi, i was wondering, if i buy a general admission ticket and there are available seats in the gold/silver area am i allowed to sit there? or is there a specific area where you can go and sit?

General admission seats will be in a designated area towards the back of the auditorium. They will be behind the Gold, Silver, Copper, and Preferred Seating assigned seats.

There may be empty seats in the assigned areas but you’re not allowed to use them. The reason is that with so many events happening and many of them overlapping just because a seat is empty doesn’t mean the person won’t come in late … and if you’re in their seat that could cause a disturbance.

And the staff should be checking to make sure that you are sitting where you are supposed to be. If you get caught in the wrong seat you may be asked to leave.

So … basically, no.

Random question, but do you know if two people can split a gold pass for a Creation event? I only want to go on Saturday, and I'm wondering if I could find someone who only wants to go on Sunday to split the cost of a gold pass. Do you think that would work?

Hmmmmm … it might? I mean, officially you’re not supposed to …

They give out a lanyard and a wristband when you register so as long as you can give them both to someone else then you can probably split it … but the wristband might be hard to get off …

If you can find someone willing to try it then by all means!

Will Colin and Jen also have solo panels?

Yes they will! The Gold Only panel that features the two of them together will probably be the first thing Saturday morning and then they will open the room to all Saturday ticket holders. Jen and Colin will each have a solo panel at some point during the day on Saturday and they will probably last about 45 minutes.

Autograph and Photo Op ticket prices for Colin and Jen are going up at some of the conventions. They have already gone up in price for Vancouver, Chicago, and New Jersey.

If you haven’t bought tickets yet for one of the other Creation conventions you might want to do it very soon in case those are bumped up, too.

What's the difference between preferred admission and general admission?

With the Preferred Admission ticket you get to choose your seat. With General Admission you will have to find an available seat in the back of the room.
