CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 2: MISSION June 8th

"You or them, Ms. Sandiego. Your choice."

For today's prompt, Mission, I decided to showcase Python's intelligence on emotional manipulation. With a psychology degree under her belt, she is well-acquainted with how fear controls people. Tasked with capturing Carmen, she turns to the people Carmen is closest to first, roughs them up, and uses them as leverage.

This is actually part one of three of a mini-series showing how Python works! Today, Carmen is captured to prevent Julia and Ivy's captivity and torture. On day 6 and 7 you'll see the result of that happening!

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 1: INTRODUCTION June 7th

Meet Python, the OC I'll be introducing to you this week!

Her gimmick: being the torture lady! She is assigned VILE's prisoners and is very good at making them hurt. Despite this, she doesn't take joy in hurting people. It's just her job. Another day clocking in at the torture dungeon.

If she wasn't the one snapping each of your fingers one by one she would be the most chill person you know. She's fairly likable and calm most of the time. When working, she's very efficient and rarely draws anything out unless instructed to by whoever specifically hired her for the day's torturing.

As for her ref: her necklace is a shark's tooth; the mark on her face is just a birthmark :)

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 6: FAVORITE CHARACTER June 12th

"I find putting your hair up tends to stop things from getting in the way. Makes it easier for us both."

carmen is in my top three favs because she lives in my head as a way cooler character than she technically is in the show. day 2's art was originally supposed to switch with this one (julia and ivy are my other two favs), but I wanted to put the aftermath of carmen's capture on day 2 before the art i have of her...captured lol

SO here's python with carmen! tried to sort of do show style- not exactly, of course, the ears/face are a little different- and lets please not discuss the hand jesus its so bad

my original idea for python was "homoerotic lady who tortures carmen" so you can see that idea coming back in this art lol

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 3: RELATIONSHIPS June 9th

diversity win! the woman torturing you is aroace!

shes hot buff lady with homoerotic tension with a lot of the women she tortures, but this is mostly a result of her being hot and cool and knowing how to leverage her traits to get people to do what she wants them to whilst working. outside of work she's wholly uninterested in romance. she's so real for that

as for friend relationships, she doesn't have a lot of operative friends because, even though she's pretty chill, everyone knows that if they royally fuck up she will not hesitate to do as she is told. she is more of a weapon than in a person in the eyes of most.

she has one younger sibling whom the faculty use as leverage against her to keep her in line.

nobody talk about how she looks like a different person every time i draw her

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 4: TRAGEDY June 10th

Python was coerced into joining VILE after the death of her parents as a young adult. She was left with sole custody of her younger sibling and was struggling with the burden of student loan debts. VILE had taken note of her due to a few papers she researched whilst in university.

VILE approached her and, when she refused to join the school with a specialty in intimidation tactics and methods of torture, they suggested that she join and send money back to her sibling- under the threat of a hit on the sibling.

Python now works with VILE with few complaints. She and her sibling rarely see each other- they think she is working abroad, which is not entirely untrue, but they obviously don't know what Python does. The two of them live comfortably because of VILE, and Python is able to know that, due to her working for VILE, her sibling will forever be protected, sheltered, and fed without any money worries...as long as Python never acts out.

Python has long since accepted her place in the world as a living weapon. Knowing what she does keeps her sibling safe, she is able to detach herself from her work as soon as she "clocks out" for the day. It's the only way she can preserve her sanity.

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 7: LA FEMME ROGUE June 13th

More of a terrible day for Carmen, I would say!

This art is the aftermath of the pieces from days 2 and 6. Finally, we get to see exactly what it is that makes Python so fearsome- she is named for how she can squeeze the hope out of you.

I'd imagine this is a picture Python sends VILE to confirm that Carmen has been captured and is being taken care of. Maybe it leaks to Team Red for extra angst.

I figure Python is largely holding up Carmen in this image, seeing as she's very nearly too injured to stand by herself.

CARMEN SANDIEGO OC WEEK DAY 5: MENTORSHIP June 11th

This is my only day where I don't have any relevant art. I included instead my original sketch for Python. Thank god I beefed her up shes so much cooler now.

I don't have a lot in terms of mentorship for her- someone obviously taught the psych major they blackmailed to hurt people but I suppose the most influential thing in her life was that threat of violence towards her sibling. She was willing to learn anything after that to keep them safe.

HIII question abt Python:3 what would she wesr for halloween!!!

omg hiiii!! i think she would take the opportunity to do something cute and silly but where no one could see her face very well because lets be real no one at the vile halloween party wants to be buddies with the designated Pain Guy. so maybe one of those fullbody costumes thats inflatable like a piece of corn or a dinosaur LMAO. yeah maybe the inflatable dinosaur
