Random pondering: Emma said "Good" after Hook told her that he would think of her everyday. She could have easily told him to move on & find something to live for after all years of revenge. She didn't. She knew that he was relentless in his search for Rumple(revenge) for 300 years. She knew that he would go back to the FTL and not stop until he found his way back to her if there was some semblance of hope in getting to her. If it's not brought up on the show I'll be upset. Ideas? Thoughts? <3
One thing we know about Emma is that she’s not a fan of giving someone false hope. She knows how it feels so it’s the last thing she would ever do. When Hook told her she’d think of her everyday, she looked him straight in the eye and told him, “Good.”
That spoke volumes, especially with someone like Emma…that one single word told him that his feelings weren’t one-sided. If she didn’t share those feelings, or wasn’t quite sure yet where she stood with Hook…she wouldn’t have said anything.
She probably would have behaved the way she did in Neverland when he said, “Perhaps I would” about getting to know her. She wasn’t quite ready for him then, so what did she do? She turned and walked away. I believe, if she still wasn’t ready to accept her feelings for him, to accept his feelings for her…she would have looked him in the eyes, said nothing and turned and walked to the car. But she didn’t…she looked him in the eyes and said, “good” giving him that hope that she truly did care for him and truly had feelings for him.
I think she already knows that he kept his promise to think of her every day, but I definitely hope they bring it up again in some way. Maybe after a long day and Emma turns away from him, giving him a stiff good night, Killian will say, “I kept my promise, you know.”
And she would stop in her tracks but keep her back to him, but the camera would show the emotion in her face. He would walk towards her, stop inches from her back and then say, “Every day, every night, I thought of you…wondering where you were, if you were happy…feeling that agonizing pain of knowing you had no recollection of me…of the moments we shared.”
She’ll turn around then, but still won’t say anything.
“There were some days I missed you so much it hurt to breathe…but I kept my promise, no matter how much it pained me…I kept your face fresh in my mind. The only thing that kept me going was the hope that one day I’d see you again.”
Then I want Emma to do some sort of gesture, telling him how much it means to her that he actually came back for her…that he did something no one has ever done. Whether it’s a kiss on the cheek, a hug…maybe just a simple touch to his face…just something to let him know she feels the same way…that she’s thankful that he did keep that promise.
And wow…I did not expect this response to turn into a little drabble…I apologize, but there it is!!
Now if you excuse me, I need to go pour myself a glass of wine beause I just gave myself some unwanted feels.
