Speaking vaguely about the finale, what are some of the characters that you're most happy with their journey and arc from the beginning of Season 1 to the end of Season 6 once we get to the end of the finale?
Kitsis: Absolutely Emma.
Can you talk about Emma and Killian's vows? Were there many iterations? What did you want them to convey?
Kitsis: You know, yes. We knew that the wedding would be a big deal, but we knew that the vows would be a big deal, and we didn't want them sung. We felt like, in that moment, the audience who was a fan of those two as a couple has waited since Season 2 to say that; they don't want it in a song with a hundred people. We wanted to really just slow the moment down and let it be between the two of them, and then have everyone come into it. It probably went through a lot of different iterations.

that was the worste or best idea i had today. Rewatch CS vows in slow mo while listeing to another music and just look at the emotion on their face okay colin’s face and you just die all over again and man that was good time.
If when Killian and Emma get married and they wrote their own vows, I just know their words are going to be so beautiful, but what will really get me is the emotion in their voices. Imagine the look in Killian’s eyes, filled with tears as he speaks to his happy ending and his voice cracks and he wavers a bit, and has to take a moment to compose himself. And Emma will smile softly and touch his cheek in the way that she does, soothing his nerves and his heart and he’ll turn his face into her palm, kissing it softly before finally continuing on. And then Emma will go, and her voice won’t be as shaky and nervous, not because she doesn’t care, but because she has never been more confident in her love for him. The woman who was once scared and put up walls around her is no more and he was the only one capable of bringing those walls down, because he was meant to love her and she was meant to love him. And now I cry because these two are slowly ruining my life.
