*thrusts a bouquet of red roses out on one knee* Clair!! You're the most beautiful woman I've ever met. Will you marry me!!
𝐎𝐎𝐂 ⸺ Character cameos in the tour group are @ramsauced’s Tokka, @sds-mod’s Perversity, @am-herrington’s Kevin, @ingenious-moron’s Kaisoro, and @mihlen’s Guan-Ying! Who’s that creepy roach directly behind The Stewardess? Well, don’t worry about it… :) And they’re totally not foreshadowing anything in Anchors Aweigh!’s future plot… }}
"Mind you, Mister Han, I'm plenty hydrated! You gotta be to make this bottomless drink voucher worth it, right? Sleep is eh, could be better. But trust me, its not a lack that's making 'em look like this." [However, he never quite elaborates on what is...]
"As for the courses," He glances at the buffet line thoughtfully before answering.
"Hmm… Six. Three more before I get to the desserts, but I don't let people take clips of that for free. "
Where: (around) Aaron's and Ace's room
When: Day 128
Who: Reddi, Ace Graves
@the-graves-family
While sitting on one of the benches scattered around, his legs pulled up and crossed, Reddi was pointing at some of the cabin doors in front of him, muttering to himself.
"Anderson couple. Guy with the beard. Empty. Hm..."
Right after coming on board, he'd gone straight to the front desk to ask for a map of the ship layout. What they provided him with was the rudimentary map for guests, outlining the most important locations they would frequent. This was a fine start, but it didn't list cabin details, staff rooms, what to find behind which door.
So Reddi had been doing that work himself to be in the know of what exactly the ship carried in its innards. He'd wandered the engine rooms (they were SO loud), he'd gotten lucky and been given a tour through the bridge, checked a few rooms that were unlocked, some that were locked but not tightly. No big deal. He just wanted to look.
By now, he had also gotten a good grasp of which cabin belonged to which guest. A chunk of that detail had already been pushed from his memory - it simply wasn't important to keep all of that in mind - but no matter, his curiosity had already been sated so the info could fly wherever it wanted for all he cared. A few rooms, however, kept him coming back. This was one of them.
He knew somebody was in there. He could hear shuffling, breathing and a heartbeat, yet no talking or the kind of noises that would usually come from an occupied cabin. Nobody exited during meal times, events, times when guests were likely to come in and out and where he'd been able to catch most other people. The temptation to just unlock the door like a bunch of the others was immense, but he'd already been chased from at least two rooms and any more transgressions would surely get him kicked off at the next harbour.
And suddenly he was sitting in darkness. Not that it mattered, he saw everything regardless - but that was strange. He blinked and looked around, noticing the by now familiar interior of a cabin, concluding that he was still on the ship. It wasn't his own room though. Weird. Did he teleport? Had he been able to do that the whole time and just didn't know? Something to figure out later.
That's when his attention finally turned to the person with the thumping heartbeat in front of him.
“You deem your identity sacrosanct, is that truly the case? Turn deeper into this foolish circus on the sea, perhaps you’ll lose your mind in the tide”
------Appearance:
On first glance, the androgynous witch carries a wisp of refinement, seemingly of East Asian descent but it's hard to place his features— most likely a sect of china or japan...? Or maybe a mix of something else, the closer you go though you notice the edges out to cut you. Daiex dresses appropriately for the occasion, vacation wear fit for a reclusive goth. With diluted complexion, from his skin to his eyes, embodying a ghastly presence— resentment stretched thin over some human form. He isn’t a fan of opulent ornaments, but two pieces stick out. A thorny silver bracelet and a golden necklace in the shape of a heart. Otherwise he blocks the sun and others gazes out with a lidded hat most of the time, even indoors.
------Lore:
As a resident of this earth, he’s very familiar with what doesn’t belong. That includes the dissolution of fantasy and reality, those unprepared shouldn’t cross the threshold into the world of the unknown, let it be too late. He’s experienced such first hand… but that sort of story isn’t one easily told. Wrapped in lies and mysteries, Daiex drives the story with his will. Fixing the gaps between the world, boxing them up to keep safe.
The cleaner is on an independent contract, his abilities are a rare coveted treasure he keeps guarded. It’s not easy to get him to do things yet alone know his signature in the margins.
For now, with everything he knew jumping into the sea and turning into ashes in the wind, he’s here to “enjoy” this vacation, whatever that means.
------Abilities:
Memory Manipulation - “Let’s open up that memoir in your brain and erase, write over, and make it so this little incident never happened. never existed. never can interfere again.”
Witch Spells + Resources - various utility use, fun for rp excuses.
Criminal Connections - working as a cleaner gets your street cred up, he tries to keep the dirty identity of his isolated from his ‘world fixer role’ but sometimes it’s useful to knock on old connections.
------Points of Tension:
fixer - much like the Ouroboros, the drive on this cruise for Daiex is to keep reality afloat— the boat too, I guess. This means he won’t take well to large supernatural spectacles or plots, even having a little … fun about it.
cleaner - on top of fixing the narrative, before all that grandiose calling, Daiex was a simple criminal, cleaning up bodies and crime scenes is his way of “relaxing”. A prodigy of weaving the story and burying the dead ends in perfect unsolvable crimes. A mystery through and through.
dramatic catboy - Daiex is a habitual liar and manipulator. it’s hard to truly figure out his motives and goals. he speaks full of venom and is full of false masks. but he’s one of sadism and grandeur, if he can get away with a crime he might indulge in the impulsive side of his personality.
sentimental - despite a life of blood and violence, covering up the remains of those passed, desecrating the memoirs of the deceased— Daiex is heavily in ■■■■ with the world he wants to ■■■■■■■. There’s reason behind this, but it’s wrapped in layers of ■■■■■
------Why a cruise?
An abhorrent asshole of a acquaintance supposedly dragged him along, he knows the creatures guile and cards, but he just can’t be assed to care. Daiex is another ‘fixer’ of anomalies, but getting his attention is a mighty feat. An ally cat that does what he wants. (pun intended?)
maybe he can get over the haunting regrets that chain him, or maybe watch someone fall overboard, either is fine.
“beings like you and I should not step out of the frame… lest you be destroyed by what you find there.”
------Shipping + OOC :
Open for casual ships but to get to his heart is.. difficult. Very primed for toxic dynamics and things that are charged. Has a main ship w/ castor oswenn but this iteration of daiex takes place post the others passing. he is a widow in mourning, try to get him if you dare. more interest in mascs i want to call him gay slurs.
that said he is otp w/ that character but open to dynamics otherwise!!!
anyway hello i'm cet (25+) thank you for letting my edgy catboy aboard!! in canada (GMT-7) i'm doing my best catching up a little late but really honoured to be apart of the experience!! : DDD @cremini-crashout is my spam oc blog. no squicks other than i’d appreciate pictures of irl cells tagged or censored! otherwise i’m here for dark rp babeyyyyy
Minkyu interviews Lavender for his vlog. Starter posts here!
Oh? For once a worthwhile response! Minkyu's grateful for it, because it means he has valid reason to keep the conversation going while he tries to figure out what on earth is going on with this girl.
He brandishes his phone, smiling warmly, every inch the upbeat vlogger, and when he blinks the magic into his eyes, there's no glow or telltale sign—the only thing his eyes are bright with is attention.
"Thank you! And wow~ you really know your stuff," he says, marveling indulgently. It's played up a little, sure, but he means it. "Have the whole date course planned out, huh? That's admirable, really!"
She's not a supernatural, not innately. She's not cursed, at least not typically. But then what's this unsettling vibe he's getting from her? Something intrinsically off…
"Say, what's your name?" he asks, because his viewers would want to know, (and if it rings bells for him, that's a bonus).
More comic practise! Xero’s blog gives me a good excuse to work on sequential art, so I’m really grateful to everyone who sends in asks/// This one’s in response to Lavender in the free-to-join CSH:AA universe!
