Congrats girlie it's the worst anyone's ever done it.
Absolutely delighted with the fact that the Death Devil is not afraid to fight. Go girl, give us nothing
I like her hand fitting in the negative space between the trees, that are symbols of life. Really brings the whole Death vibe together.
I do still find weird that neither Fakesaw or her have said the words Death Devil yet, though.
The way Fakesaw talks to themselves and speaks in plural is also interesting. Are they both a human *and* the Justice/Fire devil itself?
I think it's important to mention that they're either not the Fakesaw Man we've seen before, or they has transformed over time (probably during the Church Arc), considering his body looked more humanoid before:
If it's not the same one, it could even be Yuko as I've seen suggested (base on Fakesaw's speech patterns this chapter); not highly probable, but definitely a cool theory.
Also, the duel between Death and Chimerasaw Man here kinda feels like a parody of a major shonen battle right down to Death's battle stance, declaration of "show me what you've got.", analytic exposition of Chimerasaw Man's moves and Chimerasaw Man's corny announcement of everything.
And like I know playing with tropes is csm's whole thing. But this is funnily conscious in of itself with the awkward improv feel of it all even down to how band-aid dude casually got drained to "power up" the boss to show what her power is capable of.
manifestation of death has autism in the chainsaw man universe
Chainsaw Man is probably the only media that can still keep me guessing at every turn. I was very much a fan of the fight between the “Death Devil” and Fakesaw Man, especially because we got a fight. I enjoyed that she wasn't afraid to throw hands and took the fight head on
Despite the outcome of this chapter, I’m still unsure if we should count the “Death Devil” as weak or gone. Even if she doesn’t turn out to be some sort of powerhouse, Chainsaw Man is a story where brute force isn’t everything to make a character relevant. But to be honest, I still believe she can surprise us in terms of her abilities
All this fear over her arrival and she's genuinely useless aha no wonder Makima hated her sisters
