my daughter so precious perfect and wonderful (ignores the horrors)
I have lots of thoughts and feelings for this new chapter so im making another csm chapter review :3
so many things that get recontextualized in this new chapter- the reason why asa's uniform had so much weight in it, somewhat giving a reason as to why asa trips so much during important moments, the reason why she always saw her mother positively during flashbacks..
there's some ambiguity to the way her "tripping and falling" quirk is recontextualized here. does she unintentionally trip and fall, and the "i tripped and fell on purpose" is her rationalizing the reason she fell? is there genuine intent in her falling during her trying to save yuko, delivering mai's cake, failing the race, breaking her phone- sabotaging hers and other's happiness and safety? is it her subconsciously taking on the habit since her choosing to take longer to call PS seems to hold a huge weight on asa's psyche?
this is another thing that's left ambiguous here. is kid!denji finally accepting that he's still a good person regardless of what he did? is he being sarcastic? (i'm leaning on that reasoning more) is he comparing himself to asa, who explained the reason why she and her mom teamed up on getting her father out of the picture, before asking him that?
also the part where he says he "made it look like a suicide" confuses me. was makima wrong about him killing his father and that her information was based on her (implacably) stalking him and looking at the mafia's records? is denji also trying to place the blame on himself by insinuating that he covered up his dad's murder just so that he can get off scot-free? is this an actual retcon in the story? (which i'm leaning more on)
third scene that's left up to interpretation!!- are they laughing at the idea that they're "good people"? is this an act of them finally being eye-to-eye, bonding over the fact that they both eliminated their shitty fathers?
lastly, this panel really scares me for some reason...i know pochita and yoru's heads will just go back to their bodies, but yoru's head being dangerously close to pochita's mouth is giving me some horrible thoughts..
Evil like you!
INDONT CARE HOW FUCKED THE CONTEXT IS THEY ARE HAPPY AND SMILING SO I AM TOO
