The softness in the goddess’s tone surprised her, and made her wonder if this offer of help might be genuine, and not some sort of trick. She knew she should just shut up and be grateful, but previous experience had made her wary of immortals, and she had never been very good at keeping her mouth shut. “If I may ask, my lady, why are you offering to help me? I always got the impression that you thought I was dangerous.”
summertime // cont. @csmythos
“Don’t say that!” Persephone all but snarled at the women in front of her. This summer was proving to be testing her and their voices weren’t helping. “There’s always something.”
“YOU LIE, KORE.” one seethes; hissing voice slippery like a snake. “lie....lie” the others echo the word; baring teeth, flashing, blinding white... but dark. “there’s nothing...left.”
“daughter of demeter ? how could you stoop so low ?” one bends down to her level; they had thieved her flask from the wicker bag; dangling in front of her to high for her to reach.
“is he that bad? is the king...that bad?” cold breath in her ear- a whiff of some fresh flower scent that quickly turns sour. “you two were so in love, and now look at you....WHAT HAS CHANGED?”

A couple of weeks passed since Poseidon married his bride, Amphitrite and the seas finally had a queen. Even Rhea herself was unsure if Poseidon would ever marry: kings were accustomed to have queens and she was even one, queen of heaven, a long time ago. Her son, as dramatic and determined as he was, persuaded his potential mate to the ends of the Earth. He certainly choose her for a reason above other just as worthy maidens which made Rhea curious to get to know Amphitrite better.
Rhea arranged an audience with Amphitrite so she could know how their honeymoon went and how her new daugther in law was adjusting to her new role as queen. Upon one of Rhea’s favorite beaches is where she settled on meeting her daughter in law, hoping the scenery would make her comfortable since she learned for Poseidon his wife didn’t venture on land too much.
The titaness strolled on the beach, close to the water but not too close so that she barely caught the weakened waves in each step she took on the sand. Once she saw Amphitrite rising from the water, she smiled and waved to grab the goddess’ attention as she walked toward her.
“I’m glad to see you accepted my invitation. I hope I’m not intruding on your honeymoon but sometimes you can never tell for how long one lasts. Some even say they last forever,” Rhea chuckled.

HADES glanced up when he heard his wife speak from the doorway. He chuckled a bit and shook his head. “I don’t got a clue what you’re talking about, lover. Ya may be noisy, but I sure ain’t.” He insisted. “Still, he’d fit right in whether he was the loudest li’l thing in the world or completely mute.” He said fondly, looking down at the crying child laying against his chest. “He’d fit in no matter what just ‘cause he’s ours.” He gazed at his little one with such love and adoration in his eyes. He couldn’t believe that his little Zagreus was actually here, that he was actually alive. He was a bit of a sickly little thing, but he would pull through. He was strong-willed, Hades could feel it in his soul.
He turned back to his wife. “Ya wanna try feedin’ him?” He suggested, standing up with little Zagreus in his arms. “Or maybe we should try givin’ him the bottle? We’ll need to start gettin’ him to take a bottle sooner rather than later, just so he still eats enough when you’re...” When you’re not here. The thought struck Hades with fear. How was he supposed to do this on his own? Maybe Zagreus should go up top with Persephone rather than stay here with him. Maybe he’d be better off with his mama. As much as it would pain Hades to have his son leave his side, his health was the most important thing.

❝I love you and I’m ready to be a parent with you.❞ hades @ persephone
“I’m glad to hear you say that lover. Because it might be happening earlier than you’re expecting.” Persephone had brought up having children for a reason. Things had been going so well between them but there was still a lining of uncertainty in her voice as she watched his reaction carefully.
“What?” Hades’ brows go up in surprise. He’d expected this conversation to be more in the abstract. His face flushes, a light golden tint, and he stares at her. “You’re....? Really?” Excitement fills his expression, bright as the sun. “Really?”

“Yeah, the cold never bothered me anyway. But a hug would sure help resolve it! It’s my only possible savior.” Lee clearly lied in an amusing friendly manner. While trying to hold in the snorts, snickers and chuckles he wanted to let out right now.

Thyia could not help but gasp with excitement when her aunt explained that she could speak to them. “Well...No but! I’ve always wanted to be able to speak to them! Can you teach me? Please, please, please!”
