Apologies for not being around much; been going through some personal stuff lately (not all bad!). It's just my schedule has been wonky lately with little time to write. Hopefully I can get the hang of things soon and get back into the swing of things. Hope everyone is doing alright!

RACHEL ZEGLER for Harper's Bazaar UK (April 2026)
he understood where she came from, what she tried to explain even behind all that jealousy she felt. it was but normal to carry around such feelings. he would never think any less of her for doing so. she was his child and he cared for her like he had never cared for anything else in his life. he knew what those feelings could make one think, he himself had let those feelings cloud his mind once. until he found his purpose, until he found a better reason for his existence. even if it meant being in the darkness. it had made him who he was. given him everything he had today.
crimson eyes found her, there is kindness in them, the kind of kindness only a father could show to a daughter. hades movements were careful and slow as he sat closer to her now, closing some of the distance between them. β i understand why you feel such feelings. β his words were calm and soft, almost as if he tried to reach her the same way he used to when she was but a child.
β you will find your purpose sooner than you think. and perhaps when my time comes, because it will come the time when i will no longer be fit for this role, you may take my place. β his hand rested gently on her. his skin was cold, but his touch was gentle, careful in the way his fingers softly closed around her hand. β yet i do believe there is something greater for you out there, and you will find it on your own. β
his thumb brushed lightly over the back of her hand, a small gesture of comfort, while those crimson eyes remained on her. steady, patient. after all, even kings could only guide their children for so long ... before they had to discover their own path, even if said king was hades.
Macaria knew in her heart her father was only trying to emphasize with her but her disbelief clouded her judgement. How could he understand when his future was already planned out for him? Yes, he helped fight against Cronus but the Olympians winning was already predicted. And his domain was secure, divided amongst his brothers. His purpose was practically handed to him on a silver platter in Macaria's mind.
"I'm sorry, dad but how can you? After the war, you were given the Underworld. You were bestowed your purpose. You and uncle Zeus and Poseidon pulled lots for your domains. I have no such fate waiting for me." Macaria disagreed as she crossed her arms and sank in her seat with disappointment. Not the posture or manners fitting a princess but she was hardly in a public space. At least with Hades, she could feel less obligated to keep up appearances. Macaria was a bright and perky goddess but she also had her moments of doubt and melancholy. A true child of a spring goddess and god of the dead.
"Dad, don't even suggest a thing like that!" Macaria scolded her father before sucking in her lips, ashamed by her tone. She returned to proper sitting position, adjusting herself as he took his hand in hers. "What I mean is the throne of the Underworld is yours and mother's forever. Inheriting it seems pointless. I have no reason to. I am perfectly content with remaining a princess." She elaborated. She wouldn't mind acting as a liaison for her parents as they couldn't handle everything in the Underworld all the time but she certainly couldn't replace them as rulers. Immortality fixed that issue of inheritance...at least for the Underworld. The issues of the Upperworld didn't reflect much into the Underworld.
"It's easier said than done, dad. I don't want to remain in this funk forever. My little sister finding her place amongst the ghosts was insulting enough. What is there left in the Underworld to hold domain over? If my purpose is to remain here? What if I have to leave home? What if my purpose is up there?" Macaria mused as she pointed up to the ceiling but more importantly, the Upperworld. The living.
A hand moved into Eurybia's black tresses, holding her. Not pulling or pushing but making his presence known as he pressed a kiss to her mouth. She was right. They had both been victims. Cleora as well. It was why Crius wanted to do whatever he could to take revenge and show the world the wrath such actions would bring down on them.
"No," he opted for the truth rather than sweet words that would lull her into false presumptions. They had grown past the time when that was what their relationship was about. When the only time he had taken notice of sentiment was to use it to manipulate. "But it shan't matter. Tell me, do you look at me and forget everything that had happened before my imprisonment?" Dark eyes looked at her seriously. Then a frown appeared on Crius's face. "I will put our family first, and if it means to stall my hunger for revenge for now, I will do so. But it won't be forgotten, Bia. I can't let whoever did this to us go without consequences."
Eurybia welcomed her husband's affections. They were always a physical couple during every stage in their marriage and after the curse was broken, that intimacy paused. They had to rebuild that trust in intimacy after all was said and done. As his lips left hers, a gentle hands reached out to scratch his beard. Her fingers softly grazing his facial hair, returing the sweet affections.
Crius already knew the answer to that question. While she could ignore the past, she would always remember it. Same with her husband. "It would be impossible, you know that. But at least now I can look at you with love and trust." She admitted to him. "I don't expect you to forget, Crius. You never forget anything." The comment wasn't a dig on his character but a true statement. His analytical mind made a note of everything, even after his release, he was still sharp. His body weak but never his mind. "There is a time for revenge but not immediately. Let them believe they are safe for now. That they have nothing to worry about so any retaliation catches them off guard."
The sea goddess remained silent for a moment, a thought popped into her head. She typically let her husband plan such schemes, but she wondered what he would think about her idea. "You know...we could pretend that there is still strife between us. Obviously those closest to us would know the truth. They can believe their evil plot is still at play. They can believe they still won...all while we pretend and plot."

i didn't know that.
that's something i don't forget, something that i will never ever forget.
from now on, i'll deal out the cards,
why'd you pay for that drink? a wise guy never pays for a drink.

it's a misunderstanding.

you're gonna walk out on me? you don't walk out on me, i walk out on you.
i don't got a family.
i need a steak, medium rare. couple bowls of chili, extra hot.
one of you has got to be wrong.

i'm sorry.
i wanted to be alone with you.
what kind of people are gonna take another man's property right off the street?
i don't even want to look at you.
ain't that something?
you looked at it for two seconds.
are you trying to get me killed with that fucking suit?
i'm telling you, i'm freezing to my fucking death.

he was a friend of mine. broad daylight. i can't believe it.

a wise guy don't carry his money in a wallet.
i'll break your fucking head.
no, i didn't hear a fucking thing.
what's the big deal?
hey, pal, you want to see something?
you got to get rid of that mustache 'cause that's against the rules.
a lincoln's like driving a fucking water bed, for christ's sakes.
you took away your wife's ring?
why don't you give it to your wife?
a wise guy's always right; even when he's wrong, he's right.
it's over.
i'm so tired.
wise guys? what are wise guys?
christ, i think i shit my pants.
what would i do without you?
did i say that? did i say you got a wire?
well, well, i've got to school you, my friend.
i pretend you're dead, that's how my life makes sense to me.
i got some things i got to take care of.
you're right. i misunderstood.
i'm not gonna do it anymore.
put the phone on your pillow, i want to listen to you breathe.
i was up here. i had a few things to care of.

what kind of car do you drive?
a son should respect his father, capisce?
are you okay, honey?
i'm gonna be right here. all right?
where we going?
it was the only thing i liked about this job.
they're gonna kill him, because he vouched for me, because he stood up for me.
i put a bet on a horse, that horse don't do what it's supposed to do, like every fucking thing else in my life.
what do you want? $100?

you think i don't know how a hit gets set up?
we never had this kind of a problem when nixon was around.
i'd like to put a dent in that guy's head.
that's the same thing as if i put the bullet in his head myself, you understand?
this place is a goddamn palace, for christ's sake.
i didn't rat you out.
i demand that you tell me where my husband is!
i brought this by for you, it's a little christmas present.
let's go get your car. come on.
i don't hate you.
you know who you're talking to, my friend?
shut the fuck up. nobody's going to jail.
RACHEL ZEGLER. Dior Cruise.
what she spoke was the truth, but inside his mind it made no sense. in his mind, she should have given up everything for him. she should have stayed and understood what he was doing. creating a kingdom where only he could rule, and she would too, for she would remain his queen forever. but she had betrayed him still, choosing to follow their children into war ... and now ? now that he was losing, somehow she had been found again.
it would not take much for those he had once called children to find him, to dethrone him, to tear from his grasp everything he had built with his own hands. β and you believe they will not follow the same destiny ? then you are a fool. β his words were cold, harsh. he knew nothing for certain, but if this war had taught him anything, it was that this family carried a curse. it did not matter who came next. the cycle would never end, not even when he was gone.
he tried to ignore her, to ignore her words. but he could not, it pained him more than he cared to admit to know that he had caused her such pain. so much that a wall now stood between them, high and unbreakable. β it was the love i had to offer ! β the words left him like a shout, sharp and sudden. and only when they echoed in the air did the titan of time realize how wrong they sounded. how wrong he might have been. for a brief moment, behind that cold stare, the old cronus seemed to flicker.
even more when he heard her voice again. there was pain in it ... and that pain struck him deeper than any blade ever could. seeing her like this was never what he had wanted. this was never the future he had imaginer for them. but could he truly trust that she would not betray him again ? β i can't ... β the words came quietly at first. yet even as he spoke them, he moved. his hands almost seemed to act on their own, searching for the key that held the shackles closed around her wrists.
the metal clicked softly as he unlocked them, freeing her at last from the cold weight of the chains. it was enough, they had hurt each other enough already. it needed to end. β i can't hurt you anymore. β
"If it is their fate, it will happen. But we must follow this one first. Your downfall." Cronus should have known better than to question destiny; they had their age of rule. Just like the primordials were once the current generation of power. The titans took over but their time was ending. Cronus could not change time and fate as much as he believed he could. The war was only prolonging the evitable. As much as Rhea didn't want to believe it, she succumbed to the truth.
And what love would that be? An incomplete love that made her life half empty, wondering about the children they created together? A husband who didn't know what was real or fake? The constant threat of paranoia lingering over their marriage? She already had to suffer and pretend as she waited for Zeus to grow and train; for as strong as she was, she knew she wasn't capable of lasting an eternity with a shell of her husband.
Rhea closed her eyes as Cronus spoke a refusal initially. She didn't know what to expect from her request; they were enemies now. And yet, gentle efforts were peeking through his madness: the belief that he still cared for her. But he couldn't release her? She kept her eyes closed, trying to prevent defeated tears from running down her face. But at the sensation of her shackles unlocking, she opened her eyes. She stayed frozen for a moment in shock and then relief that he released her. But it was his admission that mattered more to her. He felt the same way she did about this whole situation.
"I'm tired, Cronus. Tired of fighting." Rhea confessed. She turned around to face her husband. "I betrayed you before but I can't do it anymore. I give up." She admitted. While being around her children again brought her purpose, Cronus' absence left a hole in her heart. They were never supposed to be apart; he was time and she was its flow...its continuance. Separation meant nothing felt in balance or steady. She could act and pretend that she was holding it together perfectly but she was battling with uncertainty.
"I'm tired of fighting you. And I'm tired of missing you."
A wicked laugh came from her. One that would cause unease to many. βIf you think you are unhappy now you donβt know the havoc I can and will cause you.β The fact her words were taken lightly only amused her more. It wasnβt the first time her words were taken as empty threats. The biggest mistake another could make, she knew.
Her children were more talented than hers. But Styx didnβt care about Rheaβs children. She only cared about her own. And if harm came to them she would wreck the world and everyone in it. βDo you even know how to fight, Rhea? Or do you always let others solve the issues you create?β
It was obvious to the titaness her niece was trying to get under her skin. It was a game to her, a challenge to summon horrid hateful feelings from those around her. They were already at war with their family; Styx didn't need to make it worse for their allies. While Styx was hate, Rhea was ease. She had more power in keeping herself collected and calm as a titaness and queen. "I doubt that will happen, Styx. Our victory is the fated outcome. We will not fall."
Rhea's face remained emotionless before Styx; surely, it was a thought others must have believed but Rhea wasn't powerless. She was the best fighter out of her sisters and even bested some of her brothers; after all, Iapetus trained her to be a warrior. However she didn't feel the need to flaunt her skills; she could reveal them when absolutely necessary. "No matter who Cronus married and reproduced with, it would lead to the same outcome. This started from my father, his prophecy. Fight comes in many different forms as you are aware, Styx. I am capable of many but there is power in numbers."
@angcltouched asked: you can ask me anything you want. ( hera to macaria )
Macaria pursed her lips, thinking of what to discuss with her aunt. Her opportunities to talk with the Queen of Heaven were limited as Macaria didn't travel outside of the Underworld frequently. If she frequented the upper world at all, it was to visit her mother. But this time she joined her mother on Olympus, reacquainting herself with relatives she heard of more than knew personally.
She possessed a curiosity; one she felt unsure of asking her father. Perhaps her aunt could shed some light on the subject and hopefully a conversation that is strictly between the two of them. "What was my dad like before Grandfather Cronus went mad? I hear things, that he was different then, but I don't think I can ask him. I get the feeling he doesn't want to talk about." The young goddess asked. "Really anything about that time you are okay with sharing I would like to know. It would help me know our family and our history better. I've only read cold flat words in the scrolls of history but nothing personal. Nothing that paints a clear picture of what it was truly like."
GEMMA CHAN by Francesca Angelina Brazzo for Michael Kors (November 2025)
it burned deep into his mind, that prophecy. one of them would take everything from him ... one of them would be his downfall. one of them would betray him. how could one pretend to be at ease among them ? how could one care for them as he once did, as a father, when all he could see around him were enemies waiting for the right moment to strike ?
that thought scartched at the back of his mind, again and again, until the madness began to settle there like a tree taking root. rotting slowly, deeply, inside his thoughts. once his mind had settled on something, there was nothing, and no one, who would change it. not even hestia as she stepped quietly into the room, her soft scent filling the air. a scent that once had calmed him.
his eyes lifted quickly, only for a moment, just enough to confirm it was her. then they dropped again to the work before him. once, he would have greeted her with a small smile. a soft hello, he would have welcomed her inside without hesitation. but not now, not in this state of mind.
her words should have made sense to him. should have reassured him. he could trust her, could he not ? after all, what did hestia know that he himself had not taught her first ? and perhaps that was what made her an even greater threat. he could try to make her understand. he could try to share the prophecy. perhaps someone, somehow, might be able to clear his mind. but he could not, not truly. ( you can. you simply do not want to. ) he closed his eyes for a moment before raising them againt to look at her.
there was nothing there now. none of the warmth a father should feel for his daughter. β there is nothing wrong in the air. it is just work. β a small pause followed as he tried, unsuccessfully, to soften the edge of his words. β it is not easy to rule a kingdom ... and be a father as well. β
It was a strange statement her father made. Even more so the cold welcome, or rather lack thereof, of her presence that caught her off guard. Hestia was almost a fully grown goddess and the youngest among the royal children, Hades, was some years before he was considered a teenager. Wouldn't the worst be over in terms of their ages? They were capable of acting for themselves and didn't have to rely on their parents for everything. But they would always need them for something. That was the love she was raised on but now, she felt inferior with just a few words.
Despite his dismissal, his words did nothing but make her suspicious. The tone in voice was strange and unusual. She didn't want to bring up any concerns to her mother and siblings until she spoke with her father. Find out what she could before seeking other answers and guidance. "You've never been so distracted from us before because of your royal duties. You always made time for us. Even bringing us with you if safe to do so. What is so different now, Papa?" She questioned him.
Hestia leaned in a little closer to her father, keeping her eyes on him. She was studying him no doubt, making note of every move and word from him. "You and mother carry the crown and being our parents both splendidly. It is certainly an immense responsibility but not an impossible task. You prove so with mother every day. I never felt there was a problem with your duty to us and the kingdom." She confessed to him.
Rhea spoke of allowing her grown children act as liaisons on their behalf in the near future. They could carry out duties that needed royal guidance but not dire enough for the queen and king. Something small her children could handle. Hestia was ready to expand her role as a princess and hoped her parents especially her father could trust her. "I protest again, Papa. I am a member of this family, a princess and I am willing to help relieve any burden that is before you and mother. I want to help. You taught me well. I am ready to embrace my position. The power I can weld for our family."
@rheaeaseandflow liked for a starter (Metis/Pallas)
Since her return, Metis lived a quiet life. She no longer harbored the ambitions she once had. The thought that there was only one way to do her duty and serve her domain. But her door was always open to those who needed her advice or her company. She could tell it was the latter when Pallas entered her home. The expression on his face revealed more than he perhaps wanted. The haunted look in his eyes.
She let him sit down on the couch beside her and lay his head on her lap. He would talk when he needed. No need to rush anything. So the Titaness leaned back. Gentle fingers brushed through his hair. Metis closed her eyes. Patient and calm in hopes it would transfer to the upset Titan.
Pallas didn't know exactly why he appeared on Metis' doorstep. She never denied him an open invitation to her home even after they ended their courtship. Their bond couldn't be severed despite marriages and separations. They would always find a way back to each other. Just another conflict inside of the war god who could never be satisfied with one path, one way of life. One love.
Pallas resting his head in Metis' lap was never an unusual sight; he felt at peace, laying in silence with her fingers combing through his hair. They remained in such position for hours before; he could remain in a state of nothingness with no battle to fight. A calm he unfortunately couldn't find with Styx. She was hate personified and while hate fueled and drove him, it was a state he couldn't find balance in.
"This is the most peace and quiet I've had in days." Pallas murmured as he slowly opened his eyes. "Everything and everyone are horrified with the Titans' return. I keep getting asked if another war is brewing. It wouldn't be the best course of action for any side. Of course Styx is reveling in this time of uncertainty. She's waiting for one of us to act on our hate. She believes it will be me."
@rheaeaseandflow liked for a starter (Crius/Bia)
Anger still bubbled under the surface. But it was no longer directed at what had happened. His disappointment no longer sat with his daughter and wife. They had been victims. Cursed to betray him. No, his anger was now with the one responsible. And with it came an unshakable wish for revenge. Only then would he be able to put it behind him completely.
The door to his study opened. Pitch-black eyes rose to look at Eurybia. There was still something cautious in her demeanor whenever she approached him. As if uncertain, he would direct his anger at her. And while he didn't smile, the look in his eyes softened as it only did for her, and he raised a hand and motioned her to step closer. Once close enough, he wrapped the hand around her wrist and pulled her onto his lap. "You don't need to be wary around me," Crius murmured against her hair. He wouldn't explode. His wrath had never been like this. More blizzard than vulacno. Calculated and eerily calm. "It is not you I'm angry with." Some trust had been broken, but that could be rebuilt. They had proven once before that they could.
The Titan leaned back to look into Eurybia's eyes again. "Neither was I avoiding you." He had been locked in his study all day. It was a reasonable assumption. "But rather plotting revenge."
Eurybia kept a safe distance from her husband as they slowly readjusted to life after the curse. The sea goddess was burdened with the memories of her cursed self; the horrible and nasty things she said and did to her husband as a means to try to destroy him. She was more than happy to return to her old self however nothing could instantly soothe the wounds the curse left. She unfortunately sought comfort in keeping her interactions with Crius short to avoid remembering all the hurt and potentially triggering the same in her husband.
But they were husband and wife who finally found a way to honestly love and respect each other before the curse destroyed that progress. She couldn't avoid him forever. Crius retreated to his study, door closed and alone with his thoughts. Crius often waited for her to make the first move and it appeared she would follow through again.
Eurybia let Crius take hold of her and while the physical affection at first felt undeserved, she took a deep breath to try to relax under his touch. "I'm sorry, my Ram. My old habits from the past are clouding my judgment. Even though it was the curse, it was still real. We were both victims to its cruelty." Her head tilted to press against his temple before pressing a kiss in the same spot.
"You say that and yet my gut doesn't want to believe it. Can you look at me and forget who I was when I was cursed?" She bluntly asked him. "As much as I understand the need to retaliate, Crius, I wish for us to work on our relationship first. For you and Cleora to as well. You promised me once you would put our family first...I hope that promise hasn't been forgotten."
Half of my threads are Titanomachy related...yes...I love it!
As a Titan fangirl, this is what I live for. TITANS!
@rheaeaseandflow rhea asked for β§Β°. βΰΌΊβ±ΰΌ»β. Β°β§ cronus : π‘
the cold metal inched against his throat; it stirred anger inside him, the kind of anger one can only feel when he is betrayed. again, and again. ( but you were not betrayed. you were the one betraying her ) his eyes burned like flames, madness flickering behind them. a madness fed by the need to see how far she would go. would she truly try to end his life ? had they fallen so far ... to the point of this ?
cronus moved fast. his strong hand closed around her wrist, the one holding the knife, keeping it exactly where it was, refusing to let her pull away. the grip of the blade pressed against his throat as if it meant nothing to him. β what are you going to do, rhea ? kill me ? β the words were spat out, almost like a challenge. as if he were daring her to do it. to hurt him.
would she truly be capable of going that far ? to break them completely ? he could not bear the thought of her doing it, of her rejecting everything they had once been. ( and if she does ... it will be your fault ) even if he did not say it, even if he refused to admit it, he still cared for her. somewhere beneath the madness and the pride, he loved her in a way he could not explain. and the thought of losing her was still consuming him.
perhaps even more than the madness itself. β do it then, β he hissed, his voice low and sharp. β win the war for them. end me ... end our love. β

Rhea managed to get on top of her husband as he laid on the ground. Knife pressed deep against his throat. Her eyes shone in indifference, battling with her emotions. She could slit his throat, temporarily incapacitate him long enough for her children to imprison their treacherous father. Being the one to solely befall Cronus was not her purpose. She was merely a tool...a guide in this long war between sire and offspring. How could she the one to stop this war? End him? It would be justice, but it wasn't her destiny.
A loud grunt left her lips as Cronus' grip around her wrist made it impossible to move away. All she could do was keep the knife steady or cut him. βBe quiet!β Rhea demanded as his words taunted her. Even if he stayed silent, the quiet would sicken her. The very fact that they were in this position troubled her with conflict. Did he really want her to follow through or was it his madness rearing its ugly head again?
But then, his next words caught her off guard. Her heart almost stopped for a moment as she reconsidered his statement. Love? How could he bring up love now? Could a mad titan even feel love? Or was it distorted into a maddened reality he believed to be real?
"How am I the one to end our love when you broke my heart first?" Rhea accused him, pressing the knife deeper against his skin. "Is there any love left? You pushed me to this point. You made me choose when I should of had everything! You, our children, our throne! Everything!" She growled.
