Honestly if it wasn’t for the fact I’ve been using clip studio paint for years at this point I would honestly assume it was malware becuase what the hell? I have no csp files on this device aside from the app itself, how is the app itself taking up almost 40gb?

I freshly reinstalled it this afternoon too, it took 5 hours to go from 500mb to almost 40gb. How??

I’ve contacted csp support and so far all they’ve said is to look at the faq 🤦, here’s hoping they listen to me telling them I already tried everything the faq suggests.

PLEASE HELP ME 🙏

I’ve recently swapped over to this program from Photoshop and that program lets me use a slider to go through my brushes while on CSP they all just form a BLOCK- I have to extend the brushes tab all the way across my canvas to even see my brushes in each pack and they don’t show up as nice little drawn lines like they do on the videos I’ve seen or like they do in PS. Instead, they’re weird stamps? Also my options to change the opacity of my brushes is nowhere in sight and only available in my options after pressing 3 buttons in settings and then scrolling down a list to find the option and I don’t fancy doing that EVERY time I wish to change brush opacity.

Does ANYONE know how to fix this?? Or at least make it more bearable to work with because coming from photoshop this program is actual hell to use and I have no idea what I’m doing :[

Hello tumblr, I come asking for your help

I recently re downloaded and updated Clip Studio Paint on my computer (along with all the assets I had) but I found a brush I liked using was missing.

The name was something along the lines "color changing brush"

It was a brush that took both your selected colors and, depending on the pressure you used, colored in a spectrum between the two.

Really cool no?

I have no memory of downloading it as an asset (and can't find it in assets right now either), I just stumbled upon it one day, it was in the painting brushes section i believe the thick paint sub tool?

If anyone know what I'm talking about and could tell me where I can find

So, CSP users! I figured out how to play with the shape of words! 

So of course you type out your word 

Then go to layer -> Convert layer -> click the first down there and change it to raster layer (first option) 

Then you can go to edit -> transform -> mesh transform and play with it all you like!

there you go!

Easy trick to super smooth lines in Clip Studio Paint

So down in the brush options, when adjusting stabilization, you typically see this:

Set to the maximum bars, if you click the arrow, you get this:

If you set the bars to the maximum amount, you will always get 15.

But here’s the secret:

that’s not the max stabilization.

What CSP doesn’t tell you is this number can actually go all the way up to 100!

“Max” stabilization, 15, on the left, and actual max stabilization, 100, on the right! Having had SAI and played around with the max stabilization, I guarantee SAI’s max and CSP’s max are the same. Have fun with your awesome lines now!

hmm this sounds so stupid but a while ago when i was making a bunch of peeves for a quick joke post i was editing this image of a peeve with eyes on it i made quite haphazardly. but whatever i did to make watermelon tourmaline peeve is actually a really cool effect i would like to be able to recreate but i can't remember what i did to get that result at all. maybe someone who uses clip studio paint knows what i did here.... i'm using an older version (1.8.8) so it's not like i was using a filter > effect. help me. help me. help me. images below cut

watermelon tourmaline peeve. created by putting my mysterious layer i want to recreate over a normal pet peeve, at 100% opacity and multiply blending mode.

here's the actual mysterious layer, on normal mode and 100% opacity. also, the white background is part of this image too. it's on all the images, they all just started off as a pea jpeg
