it used to be that “fascism is aesthetics as politics” was the sort of thing that took several steps to demonstrate, but now everyone in roman-column twitter says “my ideal world is this AI generated picture of a centurion driving a spaceship” and you don’t even have to draw any connections to anything they just say it out loud.
the only things we have to fear are things that are scary
You see this sort of post a lot in left circles, and it's a very cute idea, but conservatives aren't actually that dumb. You might be able to make them nod along to what you're saying (assuming you don't hit on the big ticket culture war issues, this absolutely would not work for immigration and probably won't work for climate change), but you're not actually going to change anyone's mind like this.
my main gripe with this is a lot of these statements are still conservative. wdym by Elites in reference to immigration? because there's already an existing white nationalist conspiracy theory about jewish people pushing immigration (great replacement theory). how is this turning the argument progressive

I don't think I'm being entitled, but I can't concede any ground to these people. They're the ones leading the crusade against libraries like Internet Archive and piracy, and I refuse to do anything that could be interpreted as validating their position or suggesting they're right.
They're the ones who embolden big publishers to sue copycat booksellers in India and even take academics there to court for photocopying pages from books. My opinion of self-published authors is the same: if they're taking up a fight against my rights and those of my fellow readers to download any books we wish, then they're my enemies. They're enemies of my vision of open access and a copyright-free world.
Just going to add this as a published writer. I am so confused every time i see creators of any kind contributing to violent dispossession and carcerality as exists when it comes to IP enforcement.
If you want a honest living from the work you can engage politically and get peotections and support legislated that doesnt depend in any speculative economic value.
People who pirate things are not going to buy things if you take piracy away. They simply wont engage with said things.
No consumer of media products is taking advantage of you by consuming media. Why are we treating cultural production like a pyramid scheme?
Just so you know thats also why all of your books are terrible bc you think that the purpose of writing is making you rich. And the only way your work can be valued and engaged with is monetarily.
Q: At what hour does Papa arise?
A: Papa wakes with the sun and leaves his domicile within 30 minutes of waking.
Q: What does Papa prefer to eat for breakfast?
A: Papa eats the first man, woman, or child he sees each morning after exiting his domicile, but his true favorite dish is blueberries.
Q: Why then does Papa eat people instead of blueberries?
A: When Papa wakes he finds himself gripped by a supernatural hunger and cannot help himself at the sight of your nutritious flesh as he searches town for a blueberry bush that he will never find.
Q: What then is the source of Papa's hunger?
A: When Papa sleeps he dreams so passionately, so vividly, of a universe that feels so much more real to him than the waking world, that when he wakes he is overwhelmed by a tremendous lack. Upon the realization that his dreams were only dreams and that what is real may never measure up to them he is filled with a profound emptiness that he would do anything to try to fill. This is why Papa is so ravenous.

Whats up gamers its me WimpCritic186 here, and welcome to yet another viral Minecraft video. Are you suffering? Are you tired of the tedious march through the morass of grief and heartache life has handed you? Have you heard it said one too many times that the "only way out" is "through"? Well.
In today's redstone tutorial, I will show you how to build what I'm calling the "emotional helicopter", a server-friendly, slime-block-powered redstone contraption I've devised for the express purpose of lifting you up and around difficult emotional barriers in your life without the hassle of actually "processing" your "shit". Don't forget to "Like" this video.
Coming up, I'l test this simple and compact device on two of my friends and fellow DVorceCraft SMP members, Neomilk and banal_lad, who, as you might know, just went through a messy, extremely public breakup. Will Milk and Lad find closure, or will they be caught in the blades? Can 1,600 pistons do what 72 hours of couples-counseling livestreamed over tiktok failed to? And how exactly can a single zombie pigman and an obscure quirk of Minecraft Java's lighting engine combine to form the perfect backdoor into what American psychologist Marsha M. Linehan refers to as the "Wise Mind" in her acclaimed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy framework? Stay tuned for all of this and more, but first, let me take a moment to tell you about Ziploc.
I, WimpCritic186, am thrilled to announce that Ziploc is the sponsor of today's technical minecraft video. Ziploc is a special bag that is extremely pog and goated. As a full time content creator, I have to stay mad organized, and I love using reusable Ziplocbags to store my various gamer items and gamer substances.
Let's talk history. Originally developed and test marketed by The Dow Chemical Company in 1968, Ziploc is an undeniable icon in the crowded sliding-channel-storage-bag market-space, standing head and shoulders above competitors like Glad and Hefty in terms of name recognition and brand loyalty – but it wasn't always that way.
The year is 1951. Danish Inventor Borge Madsen submits a patent application for a new type of plastic slide fastener. Enter businessman and innovator Steven Ausnit. Now, Steven was born in Romania in 1924. His father was Max Ausnit, then regarded as the "The Steel King" of Romania – at least until the fateful day an industry rival falsely accused him of a crime he did not commit, leading to his wrongful conviction and imprisonment. During World War II, after successfully escaping house arrest, … Click To Continue

Counsellor Drosselmeier was not a very handsome man; he was small and thin, had many wrinkles in his face, over his right eye he had a large black patch, and he was without hair, for which reason he wore a very nice white wig; this was made of glass however, and was a very ingenious piece of work.
