Hohoho, seems those cookies and extra hours of works with the deers had me quite busy,I am deeply sorry for having sort of disappear into the snow but fear not my child, I am still here! As for the goodies, ah well I'm very partial to cinnamon rolls and butter cookies with some gingerbread too. Now, you have to tell me of what xmas/winter scent you enjoy the most. Any old Christmas tune as well? Stay safe and warm, tis cold out there! Yours, Santa ⚓🦢
Santa! It's good to hear from you again! :) I certainly understand being busy - don't ever worry about that. Your Christmas treat favorites sound delightful as well. Anything cinnamon-y and warm or which involves icing is always going to be good in my book! ;p
Let's see Christmas/Winter scents....? You sometimes see frosted citrus or cranberry things, and I pretty much always like the fresh, tart smell of citrus. I also like chocolate mixed with things, which you tend to see and smell more at Christmas (i.e. chocolate orange, chocolate cherry, chocolate raspberry) I do, as we've already talked about, like cinnamon scents, but somehow my brain associates that more with Fall than Winter.
My very favorite Christmas tune is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas". It's very pretty and nostalgic, but there's also a hint of melancholy to it which tugs at the heartstrings. It's actually from the old movie Meet Me in St. Louis, which is where I first remember taking a particular liking to it. I love that movie, so it always makes me think of that too. :)
I also really love "I'll Be Home for Christmas" and "White Christmas" too. Kelly Clarkson has a beautiful song on her Christmas album called "Winter Dreams" that I adore, and I love, love LOVE the very 80s Kenny and Dolly Christmas album I have played to death every year since I was a kid. I think it originally was the soundtrack to a holiday tv movie they did, but it is the best (Just in case you get the chance to listen, Santa! ;)
What are some of your favorites?
