have you stopped writing cs fics? hope you’re doing okay

Hey there, Nonny!

I am well. Thank you for asking! And thank you for your Ask about my writing.

Short answer: No. I have not stopped writing CS fics.

Longer answer: excuse, excuse. busy real life stuff. homeschooling three high-schoolers. the world is on fire. muse isn't as cooperative as she used to be. more excuses. blah, blah, blah.

with all that said... I am actively working on my fics. I've hated how sporadic my updates have been the past several years and really want to get back to posting on a schedule. Which is why I have held off posting anything.

Currently, I am finishing Being Ghosted. I only have two sections left, then it is off to my beta. With any luck I'll have the final chapter(s) posted very soon. Once that is done, I'll be finishing The Witch in the Woods. It also is only lacking a final chapter. Then I'll be going back to Grimm.

Once Upon a Grimm actually has 2-3 completed chapters that I have not posted, however, I would like to write another 2-3 before I start updating it again. My resolution for this year was to either finish my posted WIPS, or get far enough along to post them on a schedule.

I also have several unposted WIPS in various stages of progress that I'll likely move from the back burner once I start updating Grimm again. These include a Land Run AU, a Serial Killer (with a twist) AU, a sequel to my Mob!Killian fic, and a couple of potential one shots.

My love for Once and Captain Swan has not waned. Life is just different for me now than it was when I started writing. It is so lovely to know that there are still readers hoping for updates and there are writers still giving us amazing CS stories.

Hollye....I see that you are also a fan of Grimm (another show I really miss). I am shamefully behind on your CSSNS OUAT x Grimm crossover fic (bad me!) but have you seen that they are developing a Grimm reboot movie for Peacock? I'm a little excited, a little scared they'll ruin it....

Don't worry about being behind on my CS Grimm AU. I am woefully behind on updating it. I'm hoping once I wrap up some of these WIPs I started for the spooky and holiday seasons that I can get back to it full force, so there is absolutely no rush. I hope you enjoy my take on the Grimm lore once you are able to read it though!!

That said... YES! I am a massive Grimm fan. Full disclosure though, I did not watch it when it was airing. I only had the capacity to follow a couple of shows week to week at that time and OUAT won out. I caught up with Grimm through streaming after the series had ended and fell HARD for the characters, storylines, lore, etc. I wish it got more love. It definitely deserves more of a fanbase than I feel it has.

I did see the article about the Peacock reboot movie and I share all your feelings. I am excited about the possibility of more Grimm, but they did such a great job (and I'm happy they got the chance) getting us to a good ending place that I fear some massive retconning. Especially if none or few of the OG cast gets involved.

I'll stay cautiously optimistic and give it a chance though. Who knows? Maybe it'll be everything we hope for and more. Stanger things have happened. If not... we always have fanfic, lol.

What are some of your fave episodes/storylines? Were you hooked from the get go, or did you become a fan gradually? Did you watch it week to week as it aired, or did you go all in later, like I did? Would love to hear your thoughts!
