I’ve been hanging onto this news for some time now. I received the letter March 29th, 2019, my birthday. I don’t quite know what I’ve been waiting for. A sign maybe? Someone to pinch me awake from this dream that tastes a little bit like a nightmare. They say that if you believe strongly enough you can speak things into existence. What if it only exists until you speak about it? I’m ecstatic, I feel electricity coursing through my veins! I feel fire igniting my soul! I’m a grad student now! I’ve been conditionally accepted into San Diego State University as a candidate for a Masters of Public Health with a concentration in Epidemiology. I’ve worked so hard for this. Countless hours in the library. Countless tears of frustration, anxiety, sadness, anger, joy. I never saw it coming. I didn’t come into undergrad thinking this is where I would be in six years. Six years later and I can’t imagine myself being anywhere else. This is the next step in my life’s journey. I’m following my master plan. It’s been interesting so far. Let’s see where the next chapter takes us. #sdsu #csumbsns #csumbgrad #csumb #queerexcellence #epidemiology #graduationpictures #graduation #graduaciones #gradschool #acceptanceletter #acceptance #mph #mastersofpublichealth (at California State University, Monterey Bay) https://www.instagram.com/p/BxnNDoqHYWI/?igshid=181x262vxro4g
