I'm not over the symbolism with Black sheep's name. They took the daughter of "the Wolf" and tried to defang her by calling her a sheep, a docile individual who follows without asking questions.
And yet they called her a black sheep. A misfit, an outcast, one who stands out.
And she was : only child on the island, a promising thief before even starting her training, and eventually being "in a league of her own".
It's almost a self-fulfilling prophecy. Why were they surprised when the one they'd marked as different from the flock ended up rebelling against it completely?
7 hours until The Lost Carmen Sandiego Content Caper is live!

@CARULIAA IS NOT DEACTIVATED I WAS JUST SHADOWBANNED
okay so for those of you that follow me on my main @caruliaa i appear to have been shadowbanned. this has happened to me before however in the past, while shadowbanning did mean you couldnt message or meaningfully interact with others, you could still makes posts and your blog would still be up, meaning anyone shadowbanned by accident would still be able to communicate this with their followers and mutuals. however, shadowbanning now prevents you from making posts and makes your blog inaccessible, giving the impression that your account has been deactivated to anyone who tries to view it which on top of not being able to message or interact with others means that you cant tell others what happened when youve been shadowbanned. the good news is that i can still make posts on my sideblogs so im making one here as it basically my only active sideblog to let people know that i did not deactivate and i am going to send a support ticket in with staff to resolve the situation, idk when staff will get back to me and fix this but in the meanwhile i just want everyone to know that i did not deactivate or leave tumblr
in meanwhile please reblog this post !!! i want to make sure that any of my followers and mutuals who might be worried that something has happened to me to know that i am fine and will be back as soon as this can be fixed <3 okay bye love u
It's time for the end of season 2- The Deep Dive Caper!
What an absolutely showstopping finale!! I'm so thrilled to liveblog it. This episode gets serious like no other episode really does before or since. Lets get started!
Late, as usual. Buy a lottery ticket the day I do one of these on time. Notes under the cut as always!
one thing i absolutely love that this show does especially in season 1+2 is the usage of colour, mainly being that if a scene is set in more green colours carmen is more out her element and less likely to succeed but if its set in more red colours shes more comfortable, in her element and more likely to succeed within that scene. and one of the more understated uses of this but one that i absolutely love is how in this episode, when carmen talks with chase on the train, the seats have a light greenish fabric showing how she is less comfortable/at ease with chase, whereas when she talks with julia, the seats are a reddish pink colour, showing how she is more comfortable and herself with julia <3
Hello Carmen Fans! I come to you with a plea for help. A while ago, a user in the tag posted about being able to watch the Carmen Pilot on TV and seeing deleted scenes that were not in the original Netflix version. The scenes they described aligned very closely with some of the ones in the Pilot's Novelization-- most notably the fight Carmen has with Sheena where she gets the idea for her codename, and the scene where Grey says goodbye to Carmen after graduating.
I was able to message this user about where specifically they saw this airing, and they said they were able to watch it on the Canadian channel Family TV, which is owned by none other than our friends at Wildbrain, the animation studio for Carmen! Stoked at this knowledge, I was then able to find the broadcast schedule for Carmen on this network:
Now, unfortunately it appears that they have only been broadcasting the pilot and no other eps for now, however, they are consistently airing them and doing so again this week! Unfortunately, I don't have any access to this channel and the original person that discovered this was never able to record them, but I'm sure there are people out there that can! So here's my quest for y'all: If you get Family TV at home, see if you can't catch these broadcasts, and if you see the extra scenes, record them on your phone!
Of course, I could also be 100% wrong here and the episodes they're airing could be totally normal-- it could have been a one-time thing that very few people saw. But even if it's a small chance, I think everyone would be interested in a find like this. I'm honestly dying to know if there's potentially more Carmen out there, and if there is, I'd hate for any of it to become lost media.
I'm tagging @csweekly here because I think a lot of Carmen fans are active again because of them, plus the episode this week is Part II of the pilot, after all!
