Worldbuilding culture tips. MBFs a.k.a Marridges, Births and Funerals
These events only happen a handful of times in a person's life and are often seen as the three stages of life. Therefore one way to greatly improve your world's unique culture is to create traditions for each of these events.
What do people do to introduce a new baby? Any superstitions about bad luck or the child's future? When do children revive names? Date of birth? When the parents feel like it? 1st birthday?
What do people wear to weddings? Any specific garments? Colors? Are marriage arranged? Chosen? Somewhere in between? Are they public or private events? How does the ceremony work?
How are corpses disposed of? Cremation? Burrial? What are funerals like? Who attends? Somber or bittersweet? Do they believe in an afterlife? Reincarnation? Colors? Does anyone speak? How do people remember the dead? Armbands? Grave sites? Locks of hair?
