My dear friend Natalie Jones is preparing to go into surgery to finally beat the heck out of CTEPH. I know….I had no idea either. CTEPH is a rare form of pulmonary hypertension...you know what? It is best if I allow her spouse to explain: “Basically, where most people’s bodies absorb blood clots (with the help of blood thinners), Natalie’s will not. It is a rare and fatal illness. The only potential cure is a very invasive and tough surgery that is called PTE for short. It will involve going on both heart and lung bypass machines and lowering Natalie’s body temperature so that she will techincally be dead for 15 minutes at a time. The surgery cannot be done here in Fort Wayne. On Nov.19, we will be traveling to Cleveland, OH so that The Cleveland Clinic can determine if they will be able to do the surgery The great news is, Natalie is able to have the surgery in Cleveland!!! She is also only 30 days and 700 dollars shy of the money needed to cover added expenses. Click in this month to finish up shopping for the ladies in your life and help a beautiful lady in mine. For every piece sold, I will donate $3 to Natalie’s fund (ex: 50 pieces x $3 = $150 donation). Natalie is going to win this battle; with the help of her doctors, love, prayers and our ability to lighten the load for her, just a bit.
