I could be a lot more scientific if I wasn't sniffly and lazy about finding extra research (which I'm going to have to to eventually) but thank you! I could throw you some opinions if you like. Here's one now: I think winter is better than summer. There, I said it. I like shitty English weather and I like the excuse to layer up.

The next time you're away for a while, the week before you go back tell her you have some "important news, but I'll tell you about it in person". Go back with all your hair shaved off. That should freak her out.
