I love every version of this song that I have heard (which is only three - this, Parenthetical Girls and the version where Gareth from Los Campesinos! sang it with PGrrrls! I also love the nod to it in LC!'s song Heart Swells/Pacific Daylight Time "some things are best left unsaid")

This is the wonderful Casiotone For The Painfully Alone with Love Connection, taken from the 2008 album Etiquette. It's a rather beautiful song.

Casiotone for the Painfully Alone - Optimists Vs. The Silent Alarm Sad Singers, Compare and Contrast: Owen Ashworth (CTFTPA) vs Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes, etc). This track is one of the newer, more upbeat tracks from Owen, whereas you can hear real sorrow in some of his old lo-fi tracks, like Hey Eleanor, back when it was just Owen and a few keyboards.
