In more than a dozen years of attending press launches, I don’t remember any motorcycle that stirred as much debate during the technical presentation as did the 2014 Honda CTX1300.

I was curious to see a bunch of new bikes at the bike show when it rolled through town a few weeks back. The new Indian looks like a wonderful bike and the finish on it is gorgeous. Not for me though, too bulky.
The Victory Cross Country has been out for a few years and still looks and seems to hit all the points I'm looking for in a bike.
The BMW R NineT looked less impressive in person and didn't have a nice fit for me unfortunately. Then again, it's a nice bike to tour around town on but not exactly a long-hauler.
I was really looking forward to seeing the Honda CTX1300 but when I asked about it at the Honda booth they gave me a brochure. Sigh. Something about 'logistics'.
Looking at this video I'm just getting more and more curious about the CTX1300. It's supposed to have the handling of a sports tourer, the comfort of a bagger and powered by a V4, sign me up! If it only has the same ergonomics of its larger sibling, the F6B. The Honda F6B was available at the show and swinging my leg over the bike everything just falls into place, ergonomically that bike is just perfect. Add some highway pegs (gotta stretch the 36" inseam) and I'm good to go.
Looks like I'll be keeping an eye out for the demo days.
