“Mmm…” Leib scratches his face as he awakens from his slumber. “That’s weird… Cu didn’t wake me up.” With a yawn, he sits up and looks about his room.
Across the room sits Cu Sith wearing his pajamas.
“Are you alright, Cu? Normally you’d be giving me an earful about still being in bed at this hour.”
“Leib! You’re awake?”
“Oh, I guess I forgot to charge my phone last night so my alarm didn’t go off. Good morning.”
Leibs squints at Cu Sith before giving a sigh.
“Well, I guess I’ll go take care of my morning business and get ready for the day to spare our larynxes the strain.” He gets up out of bed to leave the room.
…
“What am I gonna do? Christmas is around the corner and I don’t have enough money to get the gifts I want to get everyone.”
“Hmm… I wonder if anyone is hiring for some quick jobs…” Cu Sith reaches beside his bed for his phone to browse any place looking to hire.
“Janitor? No… Barista? I don’t think I could handle it… some people can be really mean.”
“Huh?”
“That’s perfect!”
Two hours later, after the tamers ate their fill of breakfast together, Cu Sith rushes out the door to catch a train to the Edogawa Ward.
He enters a beach resort in a collision and gets the attention of the dwarf running the place.
“Hi! I’m here about the kitchen job! I can help out wherever needed!”
