In Scottish mythology, the Cù-Sith is a supernatural wolf the size of a bull. It has shaggy green fur and a long, braided tail. It is rumoured to roam the Scottish highlands.
The Cù-Sith is known as a harbinger of death, appearing in a person's last moments to escort their soul to the afterlife. The creature is said to move completely silently, until it unleashes three deafening barks. If someone hears the Cù-Sith's baying and does not reach safety by the third bark, they will drop dead.
