Puppetry!
There were some good puppeteering activities this summer.
First, our giant scapegoat (made by me and Emma from Otherstory Puppetry) walked all the way from Bristol to Cardiff.
It had to have some temporary mends en route.
You can read more about the trip, and the Bristol Dignity for Asylum Seekers Campaign that prompted it, here and see more pictures here.
Then in a windy field near Blackpool, my puppeteering companer@s (Trevor and Emma from Otherstory Puppetry) and I finished our giant Cuadzilla puppet, just in time to take it out walking in gale force winds with the local anti-fracking campaigners, as part of the Reclaim the Power action camp.
It also went on a trip to Cuadrilla's northern HQ the next day, in more clement weather.
More pics here.
Word on the street is that it has been seen rampaging around in central Bristol and Kingswood recently.
The next puppeteering project is going to be smaller scale in terms of what we make and will be about Kropotkin and Anarchism. Watch this space for updates.
