After about 3000 years of waiting, I finally got off my butt and painted Thorfax. Artemis checking out Thor for the first time. Hoping to work on both of them a little this weekend. At least get Artemis' claws painted and Thor's "hip joints" sanded back down. For those new to "Project Thor," he is a Secret Loft designs Nahar that I purchased directly from Sheri McKinney about seven/eight years ago. Originally he was going to be painted as a Liver Chestnut, but the gears started turning as a new idea came to mind. He became know as "Project Thor," the Steampunk Horse. There is a huge project thread on Den of Angels detailing his transformation to his current stage.

I don’t know how well I pulled off the “snowy owl” look, but he is kinda cute. I had no idea what to do with those side “horns.” I may put some fluff there.
I've had a love/hate relationship with this guy for well over a year now. Much like Thor he just sits in the closet untouched. His posing frustrates me to no end and every idea I've had for him has kinda fallen through. This morning while the children slept I pulled him out and fiddled with him a bit. A fresh stringing, some sueding around the jaw, and a bit of wiring. Probably should put a thin layer of glue on his feet so he'll stop sliding around everywhere. After I get these pants sewn up for commish I think I'm gonna work on my two prop buddies. This guy and Thor. Does anyone even remember that horse?
Look who's finally getting some color! I'm going to have to resort to colored pencil for his eye color cause I have no teal/ aqua paint.
