I wrote a paragraph about the significance of this vintage sewing machine but the post disappeared- bother. Basically I cleaned, oiled, partially dismantled this today and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Tough going removing screws left dormant for a long time. And it needs a new shuttle - even some sewing machines have shuttles.
